  1. A huge loss for us all, RIP to this legend!
  2. I’ve only had 1 good experience with DWC. They successfully had my ASM #129 signed by John Romita Sr. and returned back to me in one piece. Now for my not so good experience. I sent in an FF #52 so I could have it signed by Joe Sinnott. This was during the pandemic and he ended up passing away before the signing even took place. They returned my book but NOT my money. While I have accidentally deleted those emails, I’ve inquired about my refund many times to no response.
  3. If a book is apart of a recognized pedigree, it should be acknowledged. Shouldn’t matter if it’s new or not. Just my .
  4. Here’s a Bob Kane signature from a TEC #168 that I used to own.
  5. Standard rules apply: I’ll consider offers, but first gets the book! This trumps previous negotiations unless both parties have come to an agreement, at which time I will close the book. No probation or HOS boardies allowed. I’ll be accepting PayPal or Zelle. Shipping is $15 for slabs within the U.S. territories only. International buyers, please inquire about shipping. No returns on CGC graded books. $1650
  6. Never mind, SkOw already made a thread for HeroesCon 2023. Please disregard this one. Here’s the link to it.
  7. The convention I look forward to attending every year. Who’s all going this year?
  8. I’ve met a few of my heroes. Neal Adams - Met him at HeroesCon 2019. It was a cool experience. He signed my Green Lantern #85. Jim Steranko - Met him at HeroesCon 2022. Super cool guy! Loves to chat and will easily make it a memorable experience. Just know that he WILL NOT take a photo with you. But I did get a pre-drawn sketch personalized to me. Jim Lee - Met him at Baltimore Comic-Con 2022. Talked with him for a few short minutes and he was super nice. Frank Miller - I also met him at Baltimore Comic-Con 2022. Wasn’t the best experience, but nonetheless, still cool to meet him. I’ve met other comic creators and although wouldn’t call them my heroes, I do enjoy their work.
  9. I couldn’t agree more. He gifted me this Cap #148 back in 2022 at the Rock Hill show. Though, I initially declined, he insisted that I have it. As a gift from him.
  10. I don’t know what to say. I’m at a loss for words. I texted his phone this morning asking if he’d be attending the Concord Micro-Con next weekend, only to find out he unexpectedly passed away yesterday when I opened up Facebook. As you can guess, it was a big WTF moment. But from my time knowing and personally interacting Thomas, all I can say is that was he was a MAR-VELL-ous person who loved having his books in a 9.8. He definitely had a good eye for ‘em too.
  11. RIP to a legendary cartoonist.
  12. I’m experiencing this as well.
  13. I know the thread is closed and it’s a few years old, but if you still have it.
  14. Way ahead of you on that one! I’m already mistaken for a 16-year-old anyways by MANY people anyways.
  15. He was a great artist and legacy of the Golden Age, and by far one one of the great inkers of the Silver Age. Especially when it came to gracing the work of luminaries like Carmine Infantino, Sheldon Moldoff, and Gil Kane. It’s still my favorite piece of original art that I currently have!
