  1. Great idea Mike! Why ST?

    1) It's not a widely collected title. There aren't alot of collectors looking to put together a high grade run of ST. It feels like its "my thing", perhaps as some fans feel about some unknown indie band that is "their band".

    2) Some great, even iconic covers (#107,#114,etc) from Kirby then later Sterenko.

    3) Compared to other silver age marvels its quite rare in high grade.

    4) Its undervalued in guide so that even high grade examples are relatively affordable.

    5) It was one of the first books that I sought out back issues for after ASM. I bought a #115 and a #112 based solely on the cool covers!

They are right it is a sickness. I only once ever had a Twilight book. But in the past 5 days I went from 0 pedigrees in my collection to 4.

Always like that Gil Kane cover thumbsup2.gif - feel free to ring me if you ever sell flowerred.gif

First time I've seen this one and add me to the takeit.gif list!!!

  3. The CL client base must feel a far greater degree of safety and assurance in dealing with CL as opposed to buying books on Ebay where fraud abounds. Safety and assurance carries a premium and that gets factored into the price. Is it worth double or more what you would expect to pay on Ebay? I certainly don't think so, though I've overpaid on a book or two from them. There also seems a curious pricing phenomenom that goes on where if a book sells for say $1000 the very next copy offered will immediately see a 20 to 30% boost in asking price. And these boosts do not reflect GPA, they only seem to reflect greed. They have a great selection and I look everyday but buy less these days.
