  1. And now those images have been removed due to lawyers, so maybe they were really legit.
  2. If those are the real deal, I suppose they are more like 'real life' sketches. Instead of drawing/painting a character in different views on paper, making a sculpture might make more sense as a point of reference for the 3D modellers.
  3. I think they look great. Dark and gritty! I'd prob be scared if I saw one in real life
  4. Question for anyone that knows the answer: What is the most inexpensive way to read all of the comics, without buying each book separately? Does anyone know if there is some inexpensive collections (or reprinted collections) that can be bought that would cover as much turtle history as possible? My goal is to read as much of the original Mirage series as possible, all the way up to any current series of Turtles comic books if possible. I'd like to know as much as Peter Palmer does! And perhaps also pass those books onto my greasy_fingered_pizza_eating_fall_asleep_drooling_on_a_book_teenager, without worrying about the books getting messed up by him! Thank you!
  5. Saw this yesterday on FB: from: https://www.facebook.com/DennisPowderKennedy
  6. That's some awesome artwork maloney. It takes a lot of skilll to even copy stuff, so I wouldn't doubt you could really draw. On a side note, and completely unrelated, I just saw this: http://en.rocketnews24.com/2013/12/24/all-i-want-for-christmas-is-this-awesome-backlit-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-nes/
  7. Maybe to bridge the gap, Superman > Batman > Daredevil > Turtles ?
  8. Only 6 first prints, but I sold one, and now I'm down to 5. I still love the cover, doesn't matter what printing
  9. I finally got back my turtles from CGC. Unfortunately, I will be selling most of them, so here is a family photo before they go away from me. Once again, special thanks to PeterPalmer, peasofcrap, and RichHenn for getting this to happen for me.
  10. Sorry dudes, I sold a CGC SS 9.0 a few days ago. Also I am selling off most of my duplicate turtles in my collection, for a possible house. Here's the partial family photo, before they go away for a long time:
  11. So effin awesome. I see those miniatures from time to time on ebay, wild range of prices. I always wanted them, but never knew what the whole collection would be. Thanks for sharing. I'm really digging the big ones, would be a super fun project to paint!
  12. Eastman or Laird verified CGC copies would be awesome. I always wonder how come an important book like that can't be authenticated properly by a reputable company. They should, since there are probably millions of less important books in comic history that they have to spend their time on, and a few Gooks here and there wouldn't probably take up more than a days worth of time.
  13. That's not his house. Also the light is coming from the wrong direction. If you enhance his pupil and see the reflection in his eye, then follow the reflection of the adjacent mirror on the wall, you will clearly see it's a 1:4 scale stand-up cardboard cutout, and not actually a human, all cleverly staged in 1:4 scale dollhouse. CHECKMATE
  14. Anyone know anything about a CGC witness for the Kevin Eastman NYCC appearance?
  15. So goshdang awesome. That's as close to vintage Turtle eye candy as you can get! Thank you for letting us take a look!
  16. True, I agree it's not about the first appearance, but more about the history. However, the fact that it is the first time the turtles were printed by the artists and put out there, makes it that much cooler. Calling it a first appearance or not is basically all up the individual and what they consider being that, which leads to a whole other set of opinions and discussion.
  17. Not to add fuel to the fire, but when I asked Eastman and Laird directly if they made Gobbledygook BEFORE they printed the turtles they both said "yes". So, I would consider that the first appearance, but that's just me.
  18. I've never seen a better made Turtle #1 piece, or a Turtle #1 homage, created by any of the individual artists separately. The fact that it is made by more than one of the artists is a sight to behold. I can understand why you might be able to look and admire it for a long time, and each time have more appreciation for it. I can't help but feel envious that you've been able to be a catalyst in creating this work of art. I hope I don't sound too by saying that this deserves to be in a museum, and on every true TMNT lovers wall. (worship) (worship)
  19. Blow that up and make posters of it, I would buy one in a heartbeat!
  20. Awesome. I am loving the can of worms on the floor in the front. Or is that the can of Mutagen Ooze? Or is it both? Teenage Mutant Ninja Worms?
  21. That statue is awesome! But you forgot to mention where did the base come from? It's awesome in its own right!
  22. I've been wanting one of these animation cels from the original show, for probably over a decade now. I finally acted on one. Nothing brings back my childhood faster! Someone just bought an awesome Rat King for like $40. Theres still a couple left on ebay, one of them is a hilarious one with Shredder holding a crowbar in an office(?)!
  23. So, last night, my girlfriend told me they were filming, and she had to sign a waiver because she walked through the set. There was an evil Turtles villain in the street, and she just walked by, nonchalantly. Dunno if she was supposed to act scared or something, hope she makes it to the movie
