  6. Thanks Maloney, it's starting to make a bit of sense for me... I've looked at (the very least) 100 #2's and I just wound up with more questions than answers.
  7. And finally.... for my last trick... I present a First Print, with no white on the corner. Although, there is a chance this isn't really a first print...from the looks of it. Someone ended up buying it. "first" print
  8. Another 2nd print with some white on the corner: 2nd print
  9. So far I'm seeing that the white mark in the corner is on most first prints, but I have seen one where you can barely see it. And, the white mark is NOT there for most second prints. However.... here is a second print that seems to have the white mark: 2nd print
  10. I just spent a few hours (over the past few days) trying to figure out the difference in #2 printings. I don't think that corner thingy is consistent, but I could be wrong, and I will look into it. From what I've seen so far - out of about 50 books on the web (ebay etc) - there are TWO distinct FIRST prints. The blue is offset to the right on most, but for some the blue is offset closer to the bottom (and sort of in the middle) on others. The second print #2 seems easier *to tell, but that's a whole other (lesser) story. Along the way, I may have discovered how to detect a #2 counterfeit. However, I think a bit more investigation is needed, and it's pretty damn hard to tell, especially from blurry cell phone photos. In reality, investigating this is raising more questions for me, like: "why does there seem to be two print runs for the first print", and other crazy thoughts that I won't bring up right now, and might cause mass hysteria. I probably sound delirious trying to explain it now, so I will promise to get back to everyone here with a more concise explanation when I am in my right mind and have it sorted out.
  11. Oh and the smell...The second print must smell older than the third print... UNLESS you read your comics in the sewer...then it's dark and smelly, and then the printing doesn't matter as much...but the feeling is right.
  12. I do agree with you, the 2nd print feels almost exactly like the first print. BUT, the third print is the closest to that feeling, and it gets a bronze medal
  13. I still love the third print to death. The "magic" is very faint, but it is still there for me! Maloney, I'll help you out with your unloved third print problem
  14. Holy cow that is a huge amount of info about that event. If you have that much stuff about that Tour, I can't imagine what else you have!!
  15. That made me laugh. I wonder what kind of songs there were? Is that Vanilla Ice song on there?
  16. Kinda silly find on ebay...from Pizza Hut. And the word "cassette" ...reminds me how old I am From this auction
  17. Speaking of which, I got this book in the mail yesterday, secretly (until now) and possibly, my favorite cover ever.
  18. The "AME" looks like the same font (letter style) as the word GAME above. I can see the A very faintly from the photo also, have to look really hard though.
  19. This made me smile like a mofo this morning. The head makes it for me. From this ebay auction
  20. Greetings all, Looking for a 11x17 (ledger) size scanner for magazine/oversize CGC stuff. I started a thread HERE since it is a different size, and didn't want anyone else to wade through all the info here unless specifically needed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Big Thanks!
  21. Anyone know a few scanners for magazine-sized CGC cases? That's a bit under 10"x14" I bought a Mustek A3 1200 pro and getting the same results as below.
  22. I agree - the poster is too much... maybe Michael bay is trolling us? However, looking at the turtles from the perspective of the first Movie (with humans in costumes), the turtles in that poster do have a believable "creatureness" to them. As well, they seem to have different personalities. Maybe that's what they were going for, and these were just initial ideas or design concepts? Not saying I like/dislike them either... I am numbing my emotions and reserving judgement until I see the final product (and they already made their money off a movie ticket from me)
