  1. I rescanned my copy of Mr Tracy. It's in rough shape, but it is the first issue with the two way wristwatch radio. I posted my lone issue of the Sparlker in the "GA Short Bus thread ...".
  2. Cool books Hepcat. (thumbs u I know Ive read some of these, but cannot recall the name of the littlest duck holding the football.
  3. Here's a book that forecasts the title of it's future. It was also years ahead of Laugh in's favorite line, sorta.
  4. Picked this up on E-bay a couple of months ago. Every 3rd issue features the Atomic Knights, from # 117 to 160. Too bad the Atomic Knights did not get a tryout in Showcase,
  5. Awesome books Jimjum. I was fortunate enough to snag a copy of Planet # 53 last year. Issue 72 isnt anyting to sneeze at either. (thumbs u I have a couple of the splash pages from #53 to share. For those of us who still like to read 'em, 53 is a great comic. My favorite feature is Lost World with Hunt Bowman. 53 has art by George Evans...fabulous...and a cool scene where Hunt and his gal chase the Aliens into, of all places, an abandoned General Motors Factory. Mysta of the Moon is by Matt Baker who doesn't miss a trick in exploiting the "proper" angles to capture Mysta at her very best. These Planets are very, very, habit forming. GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u The Lost World stories are fantastic. (thumbs u I know I read that first. I do have a couple of issues of Authentic Police cases, with Matt Baker art, but the GGA art seems somewhat tamer than the art in Planet. Being a long time Sci-fi fan, I also enjoy the Star Pirate and Space Ranger. My copy of #53
  6. That has to be a great feeling, knowing you have the best. Speaking of having the best available copy, that must apply to many of the Hepcat's books.
  7. I like the 100 pagers, but dont have any above VF. I recently was reading one of the letter pages, where one reader was grumbling about the high percentage of G.A. stories. That's one of the reasons I buy these, plus I really like the 100 pagers, they are hefty.
  8. That one's a classic. I took a gander at the CGD site for Action comics from the late 50's. I found issues 229, 234, 239, 241, and 242 really stand out. 241 is VERY tough. GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Not too mention #242. I wonder if the better half would let me "borrow" from the 401K. You never know these books might do bettter than the recently lackluster stock market.
  9. That one's a classic. I took a gander at the CGD site for Action comics from the late 50's. I found issues 229, 234, 239, 241, and 242 really stand out.
  10. Hepcat & Sekowskyfan, Great books. I dont think I had head of Little Sad Sack before. (thumbs u Hepcat, Is that Bud Grant in your photo of the Blue Bombers?
  11. Silver .. aw shucks, I thought you had em all. Heck no, I am weak on Actions below 250, having only a few...like this one: Great copy though. (thumbs u I only have one issue before 250, it's an area I will have to work on in my collection.
  12. That's a pity. Di ck Tracy is an excellent title. Those I've posted over here: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4712043&fpart=21 I found the same problem. I guess we will have to rescan and name the books in a less threatening manner. I did find my copy of Little Dot though. It's a stretch to call it S.A. though. #126
  13. In 1962 Western Publishing dropped it's partnership with Dell Comics & launched Gold Key as it's own brand of comics. The Beagle Boys had their own title for 47 issues. This series ran from 1964 to 1979. This was followed by a second stint of 12 issues in 1979 and 1980, also by Gold Key. #1 #5
  14. I did eventually "win" LG copies of Spaceman #1 and #2. The splash page from #2.
  15. I have been trying to track down a decent issue of this book for years, but w/o any luck. I did bid slightly over double the OPG guide on one about a year ago, but was out bid. Awesome
  16. I also remember enjoying My Favorite Martain. The TV show that really faded fast for me was "Land of the Giants". On the other hand they pulled the plug too quickly on "The Time Tunnel". #1 #3
  17. Awesome books Jimjum. I was fortunate enough to snag a copy of Planet # 53 last year. Issue 72 isnt anyting to sneeze at either. (thumbs u I have a couple of the splash pages from #53 to share.
  18. Thanks guys, Scored this one in a non local comic book shop, back in 99 or so. GGA was in full swing at this point in the Wings series.
  19. Hepcat, I just checked on this thread today. Awesome run of Aquaman books you have. About 10 years ago a local LCs had a #5 in about VF, I'm still kicking myself for not picking up that book.
  20. It appears the 3 Nazi soldiers next to the tank have not spotted Sgt Fury and company. I was surprised to find a book in this condition at a LCS, and quickly snapped it up.
  21. Cool! I never even realized that title had survived to the Silver Age! I'm more a fan of Nancy's aunt Fritzi Ritz though than I am of Nancy: If you like the Rocky Gold Keys, you might like these as well: I can see why you might be a fan of Nancy aunt Fritzi Ritz. If I recall, Nancy and Sluggo # 190 is about 2nd or 3rd from the end of the entire run. I have one issue of the Sparkler, an early example of the Nancy & Sluggo phenomenon. I will have to post in a G.A. thread at some point. Great Terry Toons books, epecially the "Summer cruise" issue.
  22. Brainiac bottled these folks up in City of Kandor but Superman takes the heat.
  23. A check of the CGC census shows 2 issues at 9.0 and 1 restored to 9.0. There is 1 issue at VF+ and 5 at VF.
