  1. Your favorite monster mags โ˜บ๏ธ
  2. Cap 3 has never been scarce to me in the 30 years Iโ€™ve collected golden age. That said itโ€™s one of the books that I have liked โ€œlessโ€ over the years. The Stan Lee publicity kills it for me because that book has so much more going for it which is why I have liked it in the the first place. Still a great book and a top 20 Timely. And for the record, my avatar is from All Select 2 ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ˜
  3. A penguin ๐Ÿง riding an ostrich ๐Ÿ˜‚
  4. Schomburg had so much experience in the โ€˜20s and โ€˜30s drawing instructional manuals and diagrams for electronics (transistor radios, etc). Iโ€™m sure he was really excited to do a detailed map of the Nazi invasion tunnel for MM36 and Goodman did not veto it ๐Ÿ˜Š
  5. Nice. Schomburgโ€™s first cover for Timely. I felt the 4.0 went cheap at $13k. I was thinking $18k-$20k.
  6. Agreed. The cap 3 was a little light, on the contrary.
  7. Looks Everett to me as well. I like that cover too but wish his ankle wings ๐Ÿชฝ were not omitted.
  8. The Daring Mystery ad is nice. Yes, and Marvel 3 would have been out Nov โ€˜39.
  9. Likely worth it as thereโ€™s no way it drops to a 3.0. I think PQ would bump if it stayed a 3.5
  10. Downsizing the Ditko Spideyโ€™s a little lately. Hereโ€™s the cream of the crop.
  11. Iโ€™ve owned several copies over the years, but here is my copy since 2012.
  12. Timelys always had the ads that did not match month to month which makes it hard to marry up. DC was very consistent with their ad placements. Many Marvel 1s missing their back covers for sure. That telescope ad on the Marvel 9 is what makes it difficult to match back covers with RR1.
  13. Just make sure @G.A.tor Is always there ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ The vintage dealer lineup is what I came for. I was telling @BitterOldMan that Iโ€™m not sure there has been such a reasonable, deep vintage dealer set up in the SF Bay Area since Wondercon left in 2004 (?) And, when I say deep, I am talking about prime golden age material which is what I enjoy. I ran into many collectors in a small space that I may not have seen in a crowded large con. This is the advantage of such vintage collectors cons because everyone is there to collect, discuss, and enjoy the pureness of the hobby. That said, Iโ€™m easy so prime material and easy parking is all I need ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿพ
