    I’ve been a long time fan of the difficult #5 as @American attest. Torch’s jawline grabs me and @Electron The green men and the lady in a yellow dress are always approved by @VintageComics Overstreet starting listing the #5 and #9 as rare/scarce in the 7th guide. I do think the 5 is slightly tougher to come by then the 9; although the 9 has always been the big ticket book.

    Very nice story but the ST 106 is not a Timely Also, did you mean to type that your father bought this copy in 1971? He could not have bought it in 1951 because it wasn’t printed and distributed til Dec 1962

    The FF1 would be the choice, normally for me. But the visual eye appeal is really blah. I would be more inclined to take the Avengers 1/Hulk 2 package.

    Without seeing it….but, generally, if it was just the covers fully split and detached, that would still be a Fair. If the wraps are also fully split, then that’s in the Poor category for me.
