It's definitely the cover, in my opinion. It's one of my favorites for sure.

I'd slab it. I don't think the hype has pushed into the later books yet. But I agree with Subby1938...Books 5-10 are pushing up in value now too. I think it's worth rolling the dice on almost any of the volume 1 books that could be a 9.8.

There is a 7.0 on Heritage also that is at $12,000 right now. It makes me wonder why they are selling theirs on Facebook. I would think they'd get more exposure on an auction site.

Wow! With buyers premium included it's over $11k! I've wanted to upgrade my 6.5 but at these prices I'll just be happy with it. It almost feels like the floor for a CGC 1st print is $10k. At least for the mid range low end books. There's only a small amount of sub 5.0 books and I haven't seen any really low grades sell lately. Has anyone seen any first prints sell with a grade at 5.0 or less in the past 6 months or so?

I think you did great for that price. A 9.6 just sold a few weeks ago for $699.00 on eBay. It was a buy it now but someone was still willing to pay that much. The first 4 books and Raphael just keep climbing. I have a #4 9.2 coming back from CGC right now. I would have jumped all over a 9.6 at your price. Congrats.

Awww man. The NYCC Variant is gonna get the green label isn't it? I mean it's rare enough that it won't matter to most. I'd like to upgrade my 9.0 but I couldn't stand the green. Lol. I'll be curious to see what it sells for

Heck yeah, buddy! Take it and run! A raw copy just sold on eBay last night for $861. These books just keep going up. I put off buying Raphael for decades figuring I'd get it eventually. Now I kick myself.

I'd be worried too. Which variant is that? Are they supposed to be sketch covers?

I got my copy yesterday! It's fantastic. I hadn't been that excited for a new release in years. The identity of the Ronin is revealed but I won't spoil it.

Just came back from CGC today. I know it isn't worth anything. But I like the cover. It will display nicely with my other graded TMNT comics.
