  1. Ashcans weren't really being produced in 1983, so that would be an oddity. Maybe it was something produced for a DVD release? I have an Ashcan sized "Land of the Giants" #1 that has the Gold Key logo and everything. It was produced for a DVD. DG I passed on it but I will pick it up during the Christmas break. I still can't find any info on it anywhere. Do you have a scan or something? I wasn't even aware an ashcan existed. No. It was a typical ashcan. IIRC the cover was on yellow stock. Black only printing, not color.

  3. Great mags. The back cover on one of them is the very first published Sam Keith artwork.
  4. Have any of you seen an ashcan of Pacific Presents #2. I had an opportunity to pick one up yesterday but didn't and I'm having second thoughts because I can't find one anywhere on the net. I thought it might be common but I may have been mistaken.
  5. They actually have 2 stores in Springfield. One on the Kansas Expressway just south of I-44 and the other one is on south Glenstone in Springfield. I'm driving through there in a few weeks. I'll have to make a little detour. (thumbs u
  6. There's a store in Springfield? The last one I knew of was Caveman Comics and I stopped there this past summer only to find the building empty.
  7. Then I have a question, I bought a comic from someone here that has over 14,000 that was in Sept. He sent the cgc comic broken, I sent it back he said he would have it fixed and sent back. I have sent him a pm and he has not responded and has posted since I sent the pm. Should I nominate him for the list? This all started back in Sept. Yes (thumbs u
  8. Just one more reason that you should have been here a length of time and even X number of posts before selling here.
  9. Maybe, but I'll bet it sells for $300 on eBay the next day.
  10. You guys are going all spoiler-be-damned tonight.
  11. This whole situation demands the infamous cocklebur reference as it's the perfect fit.
  12. I'll bet dollars to donuts that the employees at CGC specifically dropped this bombshell on their way out the door on Friday, and they have a pool going on how many posts are in this thread as of a specific time on Monday morning. They'll all pile in on Monday with cups of coffee to see which one of them wins. Good job, everyone. You're being played.
  13. :news: :news: :news: :news: :news: :news: :news: This just in. CGC has announced the hiring of former board member bhhooks22. In the next few weeks he will be moving to Sarasota to be in charge of making waffles every morning for the entire CGC staff. That is all. :news: :news: :news: :news: :news: :news: :news:
  14. Also, didn't this already happen about 5 or 6 years ago then CGC backed out because they realized how bad it looked? I may have dreamed that.
  15. The good = Your pressed books don't have to be mailed from Matt to CGC. The bad = CGC just blew the money they were saving up to hire new graders. The ugly = Turnaround times are never going to get better.
