  1. Thanks Steve. I have the Howard the Duck #13 at NM+, the Star Wars #1 at NM-/NM and both Heavy Metals at 9.0/9.2. I think both mags would improve with a press. (thumbs u Heavy Metal is one of my favorite series of all time.
  2. Congrats. That is a hella sweet copy. I'd die to own one that nice.
  3. Thanks. Here is book #3 of my Wrightson Sig Series adventure. My very favorite Wrightson cover of all time. (The things that look like tears on the right edge are production wrinkles.)
  4. They made a mistake. They fixed the mistake. Do you want a daily journal of activities of everything they do? Seriously?
  5. Depending on the grade I get on it, I'd like to add Neal's sig to mine. If it grades below 8.0 I might not invest the extra money into it, though.
  6. Wrightson for now. I'm doing about 5 or 6. Also going is my HoM 179 and HoS 94.
  7. Have you read it yet? Very nice copy BTW (thumbs u Thanks. I plan on reading it before building a window-bag for it this weekend. Great idea for a SS copy...are you going for just Wrightson or do you plan on getting Wein too? Wrightson for now. Maybe Wein later.

  9. Yeah. They went a little tothemarketdownthestreetforsomeCRAZY on this book.
  10. Jesus Dice, does that book look every bit a 9.4+ in hand.It sure does in the scan. Yes it does. It was in a CGC 7.0 slab. I had to turn it a'loose. Did greggy stain the back cover or something? So what's wrong with it? Just a little tan. I can't believe how hard they knocked it for that. Insane.

  12. Just give me a reason to post a picture of this. In a few weeks, you'll be burdened to have to see it again in a SS slab.
  13. 9.8 pre-screen You have to send in 50 books for that service...don't you? That's what the website says anyway. Yes, but you can split up the group, say 25 at a 9.8 pre-screen and 25 at a 9.6 pre-screen. It's totally worth it for Copper Age books and a must for moderns that are worthless in anything but 9.8+ Or learn the difference between a 9.6 and a 9.8 and submit them in smaller batches.
  14. Who would spend $12,000 on a comic drawn by Frank Robbins? Not as bad as Liefeld. And he can draw feet. ...and the guy has one left arm and one right arm. ...and they are on the correct sides.
  15. True. For example, I have learned that I will never be wealthy enough to blow $12,000 on a rare comic book that essentially features a violent version of Howard the Duck who's costume was ripped off from Deathstroke and drawn by the worst comic book illustrator of all time. That also means that I will also never have enough money to buy a diamond-encrusted toilet seat - but hey, I'm learning to cope. Optimism...it's catching on.
  16. Good job by CGC. What do they say about the 9.0 purple label one currently on eBay?
  17. Since when did you stop buying DC's and start buying this junk again?
  18. As predicted... Ironically, it can belong to you if you pick it up here.
