  1. Jesus man, and you wonder why no one likes you... Hey, lots of people like me, it's just me and nerds that don't get along. Never have, never will and I don't see any way of changing nature. Was that tongue in cheek? You crack me up. Hey it's not the pot/kettle scenario for me here. I pay enough hookers to "like" me I was referring to the fact that JC seems to think he's *not* a nerd. I still don't understand....are you saying JC is not a father of 2 or 14, benches 300lbs, has so much cash that he can buy all the 9.8 marvel tomato books, played all varsity sports, yet still finds time to peruse the boards at all hours? And that he's actualllllyyyy ***gasp*** a "nerd"? You're right. What the hell was I thinking?

  4. You should be. Those books are breathtaking. Most of them I have never seen above 7.5-8.0. Do you have any high grade #1s that you are looking to move? Unfortunately I haven't found them yet, but I am working on it. Heck, I'm still not sure what I want to do with these books. I suspect it could be an effort in futility to try and complete a 9.6/9.8 run of any of these books much less the Li'l Kids run. And if I should choose to sell them...I mean where do I even come up with a price point? There is no GPA and no others on the census. I do have my undercopy of PtLP #2 @ CGC 9.2 that I will be getting rid of at some point in the future. In my opinion, you should put these in one of the C-Link focused auctions or some other auction format and let the market decide what the value is. They are amazing and it wouldn't surprise me if there are folks out there waiting for high grade copies to try and put together the best set possible. Keep me in mind if you track down 9.4+ copies of Homer #1 or Li'l Kids #1! I agree. Those books would be insane on a CLink auction. I'm in awe, man. You don't see those books in that grade. Ever.
  5. As of last night, I have read the entire series. I have been terrified to look in this thread until I was caught up. I also joined the WDC. The series is awesome. Both me and my girlfriend are huge fans. I almost needed counseling when Lori was killed. I was devastated. I look forward to reading this thread now as the new issues come out.
  6. I'd dump it faster than a large order of habanero wings that I washed down with a sixpack of Schaeffer's.

    Uh-oh...

The yearly bump. Noobs, start reading from the beginning. It's worth it, trust me.
  8. Probably just a format change for one issue. Possibly to get rid of a particular size of paper they managed to get a deal on. You might want to ask in the Golden Age forum.
  9. The text at the top is used during production. This is how the parts of the piece are identified. "38845" would be the job number. An internal way of tracking each job. "Section 1a" would be which part of the book it is. "1a" would be the cover. Obviously it has the publisher and title. "Direct" would be the version of the cover it is. A lot of stuff gets trimmed off that the consumer doesn't get to see. If they do, they have no idea what it is used for.
  10. I posted this in the OA forum, but was asked to put it here too, as some of you horror fans might not venture over there very often. Found on a total fluke in a little shop. A page from Tales of the Zombie.
  11. Amateur Color Touch...Thanks, JC! If a Canadian did it, it would be a Colour Touch, because of the "Random U Factor".
  12. Kudos to 50 Cent #II (1st)! Great book and speedy shipping! Thanks!
