What shape is the GL 59 in?
Not great. Low grade. I've never owned it, so I'm holding onto it

I wrote about this in the GA keeper thread. But this is a book I've wanted since I first saw one long ago. I had passed on many copies because it was either bad timing or the copy didn't present how I wanted it to.
This book was offered here on the boards and I went for it. It didn't disappoint. The colors jump off the cover and I'm pretty pumped to add it to the collection.
That's one of those comics, if it was the only one I had I'd be content

After racing to put my name on the official estate sale list at 1am I’m 10th. I’ve been in my car the whole time and when I come out at 6am there’s a completely different list with my name nowhere on it! Not so cool. (I would have been 25th!). I calmly explain to the estate sale promoter the situation (I show him pics of my name on the original list and my box) and he adds me. Cool. I join a conversation w my friends for a bit only to see my name scribbled off by my competition! (What was he thinking?! Lol). I talk to the promoter once again and he adds my name once again. Cool! (I must be some hot shot threat) lol. I got 225 comics for $375. Less than $2 each as he put it. The promoter helped me out. Stand up guy. Straight shooter.

That’s a gold mine. To many it might not look like it but sold values of Radioactive Man 1 surprise me. I still need a TreeHouse of Horror 1

I assume there is still a story here? Usually you post in garage sales antiques, but there is so much good here. Posted today it was inferred that if a book has a manufacturing thing there may be more so I dont mind telling you...
I've found a double cover of that and poison ivy or I have before, so check your books ! But quite the hall
Kazar and all!
I just posted the story in the Garage Sale/Flea Market/Antique Mall Finds thread. I like to put the stories in that thread

As I was about to go to sleep I see notifications that a dealer friend shared an online post. He knows I like Batman hence his alert. Initially the deal was for all the Batmans and then the seller told me he had some Marvels. So at that point it became a take all deal. The seller generously met me midway. It was only a 10 min drive from me with no Father's Day traffic. Typically I don't pay a lot for a little but I spent $17.50 per book.

Interesting! Where would you find something like that? Its commitment to accumulate
Some of my earliest memories are going to the coffee shop while my bio dad read the paper, and I got the funnies. He got coffee and I got hot chocolate with whip cream. Maybe I should precursor that with saying my dad was born in 1940, so this would be what he grew up doing too. I realized that as I got older, so it, looking back, was precious.
Oh yeah and I organized them by date. The Mexican newspapers are usually free at any market or shop that supplies them. The Spidey stories are usually in the comic strip cartoon section

Believe it or not I have about 500-1,000 clippings of this strip from about the mid/late 2000s to early 2010s. In the Spanish LA newspapers. Stan Lee, Romita team ups. Almost always horizontal and 3 panels. Top or bottom of the newspapers.

Such a big early 2000s artist. I remember buying his Cap White and Sketchbook.. the last time I bought his art was probably Batman 1 Rebirth variant!

Whoa! Was just about to post about nom5693
Accepted an offer from him. Few days later, USPS had not updated tracking and he goes on a wild rant about how I was trying to scam him. So many red flags. Now that they're stealing pictures, blockblockblock.
Yeah same thing. He’s complaining to me… uhm.. he’s the one who “stole” my photos if anyone’s irate I should be the one lol.

I checked in the past 12 months only one hit the market back in December. Pretty rare newsstand considering the endless amounts of copies
