  1. Yeah, I can't see this issue falling off the map with its price tag. Especially in 9.6+ condition. Not enough of them to fill demand, despite people thinking there's a million ungraded copies out there to cover that demand. There's 7000+ graded, and only 7% in 9.8 is not enough. Now, NM 98 is just an anomaly. You would think that with over 1000 9.8's graded, the price would settle or even drop, but it just continues to creep upward. Eventually, it HAS to stabilize/drop due to those numbers. With ASM 300's popularity, and condition issues the NM 98 does not have, I have a hard time believing it (300) will drop below $600 again in 9.8. Just my pennies.
  2. I'd venture to say it's THE key of the copper age. Maybe TMNT. 1 and 1A.
  3. How about this one? What?! What did you say about What?! $325 for a grubby 3rd print? That's what! Who you callin' grubby? GRUBBY!! Grubby was awesome. Teddy Ruxpin sux.
  4. I really wish people would stop bastardizing the word "variant" to mean "anything different from the USA" and try to understand that in Canada, UK, Europe, etc. our comics are "regular" to us. A "variant" is a comic that is different from the standard edition printed in that country, and was sold on the exact same shelves. The word variation is more fitting than calling these books variants.
  5. Well, based on current slabbed sales, I still left quite a bit on the table. Congrats. No tomfoolery.. just something that defies logic. UnteL.
  6. in my experience I would say the 5th print is the rarest. I have an extra raw if you wanted to trade. In 4 years of looking for fun. I found 3 3rd prints I found a 4th print in the wild last year. I never found a 5th print in the wild anywhere. The only reason I got one was by a mistake from a seller. In my lookings, the 4th print is the toughest to find, followed closely by the 5th. +1 While all the subsequent printings are tough to find in 9.6/ 9.8, (and I love them all) I've found the 4th print a tougher find. A few others have said the same thing. Coincidence? Smaller print run than the 5th print? This book (MOS 18 and 17, too) have been the hot topic of late. First appearance of an awesome character. The dead superman thing. The search for all the different printings. Good stuff.
  7. Absolutely... There's no room for that junk here. The Patriots are going to stomp either one of those teams after pounding on the Colts.
  8. That's fine. It is a personal choice on anyone's part whether they deal with you or not. But when you conduct a transaction openly to flaunt the HOS-PL, expect there is a chance it is going to be called out to ensure the other party is aware of the situation. the forum is now safer Bosco (thumbs u

  10. Aren't you concerned that by mentioning that book that someone else is going to want it for their collection too? I know I avoid talking about comics I'm looking for, because I'm worried someone else will know someone wants the book and then become interested in it, making it two or more people now chasing the same book. I usually start talking about how hard a comic book is to find after I find it. Didn't this happen with the Incredible Hulk 377 2nd or 3rd print? Someone started asking about it and before too long, there are lots of people interested in buying it. I hear you, man... But the big difference is that NOBODY has this book, for the most part. I wish them luck, and if they do manage to find one, I'll make them an offer they can't refuse. You wanted a name to contact to get this book? Here you go. Good Luck, considering DC had to go to him just to get pictures of the book. As for making him an offer that he can't refuse? Good luck with that. What do you get the multi-millionaire who owns every DC made? I know about levine's book. He didn't find the book like the rest of us collectors are trying to do, He just groveled at the feet of the DC chief for a copy. I'll just keep searching.
  11. You're welcome to send me all your 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th prints of MOS 18 you have....I'll take a 2nd print MOS 17s too, but only because I'm trying to be a nice guy I know, right. I, too, will happily take those lowly 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th prints. They're just junk, and I'll be the trash collector.
  12. Someone who just bought a 9.9 for $1400 is banking on it.

  14. I'm giving this one away to someone who helps me find a deal for that forsaken twisted metal book.
  15. The label of dealer and collector are remnants of the past. We just a bunch of people buying and selling comic books. S Funny how when giant sums of money come into the equasion how the fun quickly goes out of it. Try play nice fellas and set an example for us little people. Amen, brother/sister.
