  1. Amazing find! You ever get a steel brigade figure from any collection?
  2. I was way off. It's going to be tough to get another 9.9 of that book. Depending on who you ask, it's a decent price. It really is the nicest copy I've ever seen.
  3. Only one what though? Is it a completely unique comic or is it a slight cover variant or something? No idea. It's probably just one of those cheapo giveaways, but for whatever reason it seems to be rare. A lot of them from that time period aren't that hard to find. I like the cover. Nobody knows. Posted on this early, but my wireless went down. This is the holy grail for Whitman collectors. They didnt know for years if it even existed they only had a picture on it to go from till someone this year found one. Before this one the Sgt Rock and Warlord were the tough ones to get I think. Its like finding a new 35 cent variant for those collectors. Ask Warlord about it I am sure he will tell you he has looked for years for one. Go over and visit STL and read the section on Whitman's they are 4 basic categories they fall into the first 3 are not too hard to find, but the last category is tough and this Whitman falls into a 5th category of impossible. All that said above I am not a Whitman collector, but alot of my fellow collectors I know are and I am happy this was finally proven one way or another. Its the how Cosmic Spider-man felt when he made the entire 35 cent variant collection and that was a few years ago. Nobody else has made one since. I think he meant the warlord remco giveaway? But, that's good info on the Whitman. Aren't there a few more that "might" exist?

  5. Is that warlord's copy? This book definitely qualifies for this thread! Edit: missed that auction. I would have paid more than that.. (hint hint if a boardie wants to make a flip.)
  6. Wow. Instant collection. His reserve hasn't been met, though. Wonder how much? And he doesn't have blackthorne #6!
  7. Now THAT is one that will help your registry set stay #1 for a looong time. You bidding?
  8. #21 9.9.. At $1350 with a day to go. I say it goes over 3000.
  9. Didn't see this mentioned. Surprised, actually. On an episode of Venture Brothers (adult swim,) there's a mint copy of Action 1 that Hank and Dean had. There was a number counter in the corner of the screen that showed the value (I think it was $1,000,000), and each time they did things to it , like rolling it up, or stomping on it, (inadvertently) the counter rolled back until at the end of the episode the counter reads 0. For those who haven't seen the show, Hank and Dean are 14 year old dolts.
  10. nice!! well done... now what about #5 and #6?? No 5 yet in high grade, but 6 is even tougher, and I managed to get these. One most likely a 9.4, and the other 8.5.
  11. Do the blackthorne issues count as part of the set, or is it just marvels? Just the original 155 issues from Marvel, the Yearbooks, and the Special #1. 2nd, 3rd prints, etc?
  12. Do the blackthorne issues count as part of the set, or is it just marvels?
  13. The Hulk? I think so. I haven't seen many. There's a few books I can think of that will have a similar result, due to the boards knowledge. Sorry.. Yeah was referring the Hulk #377, not your Hulk book. Even though the Hulk is the prominent figure on the cover, for some reason it's known as the spiderman jawbreaker promo.

  15. Anyone have one of these? From what I gather, hen's teeth are easier to find.
  16. Just one set? I thought there were a few more? Yeah me too..I thought a few people had all of them. If not how many people are very close...and how many more do you guys need? I know someone (nameless) who needs 1 more. That's all I know.
  17. Just one set? I thought there were a few more?
  18. The POWER we posess! Now let's all make X-force 1 a rare collectible
  19. Yes on the Batman. That's a cool book. Never seen it before.
  20. As an outsider, with limited knowledge of the .35 variants.... How many completed sets are known at this point. I'm just living vicariously through all of you. Great stuff!
  21. I was part of the small minority that liked the gobots more than the transformers. Cy-Kill, cop-tur, and even a Honda scooter (forgot the name.)
  22. Oh snap! I'd probably keep a white, though. Sorry. I'm wondering myself, whether or not another copy is out there. If the person who does have the one copy were to sell, I could see it getting 5 figures (as long as it's the only copy.)
  23. If this thread was a popularity contest, there's no doubt the venom would be far more popular than the deathlok book. The venom is the most popular and well known error comic that I can think of, but if we're going by numbers, (which is what I believe RMA is asking), the Deathlok book wins. It's irrelevant that it's mine. I'd rather have a venom black. Trade?
