  1. We've been trying to figure this one out for months. Copper area is a ghost town, so I figured I'd put it here.
  2. Looking for definitive proof of where this book (xmen 302) originated from, and where I can get one. That's all. The first person who can prove it will get this copy of Conan 77 .35 variant , (probably VG+) AND a VF/NM copy of GIJoe 21 mailed for zilch. Just need the info., not the book, unless you want to sell. Thanks! And here's the Conan. It's not much, but it's free. And you can't beat free. GiJoe 21. Would be easy NM without tiny chip on spine, but who cares?! It's free.
  3. I was thinking the same thing. The japanese always have cooler stuff than we do.
  4. The scan Is fuzzy, so it MIGHT not have the spine marks, and its the case? Otherwise, that's an 8.0, and even cgc isn't that blind. Or are they?
  5. Snagged it online within an hour of it being listed. I got lucky. Easily the rarest Joe book I've ever had. I'd like to get a full unopened set, as I have the hardest one, but I have a hard time finding nice opened copies, so I'm not going to even try.
  6. Cross post, but I'm not caring about that. This is something I'll probably never see again. In its original packaging!
  7. Great question. Are there any? Probably not, but others could probably tell you more.
  8. You don't let the grass grow under your feet! Good luck with the auction.
  9. Been looking a long time for it still no luck. I did find a 4th and felt somewhat fulfilled, but want the 5th just to say I found one. There's one on eBay now, but they want way too much. I'd rather find one in a dollar bin somewhere.
  10. Hope you're right. Also hope nobody else will try to get $800 for it. I appreciate that. Someone has already offered me a copy that I might take if I can't find a NM one. I believe his is F/VF. It looks closer to a VF from what I saw.

  12. So what is so special about this book that commands such a high price, I have had this for years and never knew it was more than a buck. The big deal is because I've made a big deal about it lately! It is one of the more difficult promos to find. The demand isn't there as far as I know. Just me. Well I hope you find a copy soon. (thumbs u You have it now?

  14. Yes, I know all about that one! I don't count it, though. $800 for a $150 book is insane.
  15. If donut says you're good and trustworthy, I believe him. Good luck. I've looked everywhere!
  16. When did it arrive at CGC? December 7th, 1941 So if I sent mine on 3/29/51, I still have a long wait ahead?
  17. Same with some copper and 90's books with several printings. The later the print, the more valuable it is.
  18. Is that warlord's copy? This book definitely qualifies for this thread! Edit: missed that auction. I would have paid more than that.. (hint hint if a boardie wants to make a flip.) Agreed, I think a straight up auction without a BIN would have done extremely well. Yes, I have the copy that you see in the Youtube video! Flipping my DCCP#22... But it's part of my complete set! Well..., never say never! I'll keep trying!
  19. Was this the winner? How does one price a book like this? Why this comic is so special? How it's possible that there is only one known copy? Only one "known." I'm sure there are a few left out there in quarter boxes waiting to be unearthed. I need to make a list of all these super rare copper treasures. I'm sure I've skipped over a few of them dumpster diving. If there are any in quarter bins, I'd be shocked beyond belief. Ian Levine has said in the past that Paul Levitz affirmed that they were never printed. Where that one copy came from, I'm not sure, but I think it was a prototype or something like that If theres 1, theres more. Seriously though, wouldn't that be the original artwork if it were never printed? Maybe other wise board members can chime in?
  20. Amazing find! You ever get a steel brigade figure from any collection? I had at one point 3 version "C" incomplete. I traded 2 away for stuff I needed and just need the gun and I have that version complete. I regret selling my C9 Gold, (complete) years ago.
  21. AND it might be worth $2500 to you! Sweet.
