  1. If it's so easy, then find one. remember when dungeoness was looking and offering money for the longest time for a GI Joe 21 CGC 9.8? it's basically the same thing. it's not even worth my time to look for one.
  2. Yes. Simply state in you opening post that you have the right to refuse to sell to anyone for any reason.
  3. Um... Galactus? I guess he left his big purple gloves on his spaceship. It was the 70s.
  4. I bet it seemed lonely sitting around with no ASM comic.
  5. I'm beginning to agree with Michael. Way too much lack of control around this place.
  6. Gubment. You already made it to my sig line. What more do you want? Shall I present you with a bulleted list? A bullet list is required. The department has not yet approved bulleted lists. If you wish to use a bulleted list you must first submit for form BLW-32-/r in triplicate along with the bulleted list itself for consideration. Thank you for your cooperation. I'm sorry, but it seems the only response I can access which would be suitable concerning form BLW-32-/r is... below me.

  8. I liked Menace's debut better. How does a Heat Miser 'chill out'?? I blame Harmon in that exchange. I concur. He wasn't clear in his explanation. I'm sorry. I didn't understand your post.

  10. Maybe Spill it I was going through some old boxes of books last weekend to put together my Christmas raffle box and I found a newsstand copy with no spine stress that I remembered seeing but forgot that I bought it. I originally thought it wasn't 9.8 but after looking at it again closely, I think it is if I get it pressed. It is the nicest copy I've ever seen and is definitely nicer than my CGC 9.6 so I am going to send it to joeypost and see what happens. I also found my gold copy of X-Men 297 which is in similar condition so it is going to Joey too. Send them with my ASX 32 and I will hand deliver them to Orlando on February the 16th.
  11. Except to my understanding that isn't what happened here. A user on the probation list buys from a member, who sells him them book - then said user tells everyone here that the list doesn't mean mess to him. So, that's why I'm asking if there is something else that sellers should do, because the "never allowed" clause seems to be optional in this example. Dre pretty much fell on his sword. It is clear that he didn't know (or the die had already been cast) the guy was on the PL until too late. Plus once you back out of a deal (for someone being on the PL) you run the risk of your own rep getting run through the mud. I'm not going to speak for Dre, but my impression is that if he could go back and do it all over, he wouldn't have sold to the PL offender. But once he was in it as far as he was, he didn't feel comfortable backing out. There but for the grace of god, go I. What was there to worry about? Daken posted an in one of my sales threads. I was told he was on the PL (just like Dre was told). I told him I couldn't sell him the book on he cleared up the transaction that landed him on the list. Whatever reputation I have wasn't run through the mud. That was the end of it.
  12. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wolverine-35-1988-CGC-9-6-NM-1-4-rare-high-grade-/320828172615?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4ab2d96947#ht_500wt_1261 The only thing that link shows is that a 9.6 isn't worth $250  Someone will pay it sooner or later or somewhere near that price....I'd pay $300 to $400 for a 9.8 daken2626 (added 10/14/11) Shouldn't you pay off what you owe first? You are on the porbatian list for a reason. It's all a misunderstanding. He has these two roommates, Janet and Chrissy. They had their rent money all ready to pay to Mr Roper when it goes missing. Believing a burglar has stolen their rent money, they frantically try to avoid Mr. Roper until they can replace it. After Daken and Janet find their apartment door unlocked and the cash missing, Chrissy arrives and insists that she left the envelope containing the rent money on a shelf. Daken calls the police. While the three roommates worry about trying to get a loan, Mrs. Roper convinces her husband to invite them out to dinner. While at dinner, Daken decides to pay Mr. Roper the rent money instead of using it to purchase the two books he posted on. It wasn't until a couple of months later that Mr. Roper confesses that he he was in the apartment earlier fixing a leak in the kitchen and saw the rent money on the shelf. So, to save everyone a little trouble, he went ahead and picked it up. Unfortunately for Daken, he had already been added to the Probation List by the time Mr. Roper confessed. I bet all that gave you an and possibly got you off....good for you (thumbs u I enjoyed typing it, but it didn't inspire a sexual release.

You are on the porbatian list for a reason. I just completed a transaction with BeachBum that went extremely well so you can kiss my ...that list does not mean mess to me so another member sold to someone on the probation list? How do we know you competed a transaction with him? Pay off what you owe I even told dre before the transaction was completed The list is only effective when the sellers have the conviction to stand by its principles.
  14. That's a first. I had never seen remarks on label stating that a book was "pressed." I'd seen a few at the very beginning of CGC but my understanding is that a certain Oklahoma City collector/investor/lawyer threatened holy {SPOON} when he sent in a large batch of comics that came back PLOD pressed and that was the end of the pressed designation. As always on rumors your milage may vary. When a cover is noted as being cleaned and pressed, it means that it has been wet washed. The two go together. The only way of getting it flat again is to press it.
