  1. Good info I did not know that ! interesting info While im sure if Disney wanted to, they could pick up this fight and win or just buy out that other company, I don't see why they would waste their time with it. I also do no see this affecting them being able to name a MOVIE " The Champions" or a team inside another movie " The Champions" It seems with that patent info, the only thing they lost is comic publishing rights to the name, nothing else. "The Champions" trademark is owned by Heroic Publishing. Once again, there will never be a comic, movie or tv show of "The Champions" done by Marvel.
  2. Just a reminder. Marvel no longer has the trademark for The Champions. There will never be another Champions comic. "Since 1987, Heroic Publishing has used the name "The Champions" for a role-playing game series which has been adapted into comic books. The United States Patent and Trademark Office has ruled that Marvel abandoned its trademark of the name and can no longer use "The Champions" as the name of a comic book series. A planned 2007 revival of the series was renamed The Order."
  3. I would imagine he slabbed it himself. The Jugster's a machine. He puts my drek to shame, and my drek ain't so drekky. Not anymore. I sold off most of my copper books. But anything can be found again.
  4. I bought them raw in Quebec City many years ago. Both books are already sold.
  5. I guess so!! Kevin Feige talked about Runaways after the Phase 3 announcement. I was wondering whatever happened to The Runaways. "The Runaways is still an awesome -script that exists in our -script vault, by Drew Pearce. Frankly the best thing that has happened with that -script is that it brought our attention to Drew Pearce, who ended up co-writing Iron Man 3 with Shane Black. We’d love to do something with Runaways some day. In our television and future film discussions, it’s always one that we talk about, because we have a solid draft there. But again, we can’t make them all."
  6. TV show in the works. http://guardianlv.com/2014/11/marvel-plans-the-runaways-tv-show/ Nope, it was at one point, but nothing currently: When Feige was asked whether the film was just a fanboys’ and girls’ imagination running wild or an actual concept brought to life, he responded by claiming that the -script was still in the “vault” and would probably be turned into an ongoing television series. The original plan for Runaways was to be a movie in Phase 3. Actually it is the 1st movie ever mentioned by Kevin Feige over 5 years ago. The -script for Runaways is currently in the Disney vault to be used later. Other movies mentioned were Cloak & Dagger, Moon Knight, Power Pack & a few others which are now movies or TV shows.
  7. Newsarama got it right. Spot on. My prediction is Kamala Khan will be in the Captain Marvel movie. Eventually to become Ms. Marvel in the Inhumans movie.
  8. If that's all that she appears in #14 it would be a cameo. 1 panel and unnamed. Why is this even a discussion, we have countless characters in the shadows (For example; Killer Croc, Crossbones) or 1 panel (For example; Invincible) that are 1st appearances. In many previews or ads, no one says anything its just a picture but some consider it a 1st appearance and not a cameo. I guess all the times you and others have said the preview or ad is the 1st appearance of a character is nothing more than a cameo.
  9. Cameo then? I'm going with this one. Low print, hard to find (only two copy's left on feebay) Selling at 2-3x the 1st print. With a full cover appearance a month before Ms Marvel #1. Seems like the top choice too me. Cheers! As for speculation , #14 is a cameo # 17 1st print is second cameo BUT.. Captain Marvel #17 2cond print is The first appearance of Kamila khan as Ms Marvel and there is no arguing a first appearance/cover appearance. This book is also before the point one issue. Did you even read what I wrote. Captain Marvel #14 is the 1st appearance of Kamala Khan. Captain Marvel #17 is the 1st appearance of Kamala Khan as the new Ms. Marvel. Kamala Khan is just a 16 year old girl in Captain Marvel #14. That's it. Kamala Khan becoimes the new Ms. Marvel in Captain Marvel #17. I will the collectors decide which print is more significant for Captain Marvel #17. There is no cameos.
  10. I really hope you're joking. Of course it merits value. I've already given the evidence that no one can dispute. Straight from the writer of the book. The artist has said it as well that it is her 1st appearance. Its not an arm (superman #17 - doomsday), its not a televison screen (Jimmy Olsen #134 - Darkseid) or a preview. That doesn't mean everyone is going to see it as valuable, or as the book to get. It's a one panel shot, with no dialogue. If the writer didn't point it out, nobody would know who the hell it is. She looks like a 30 year old woman there, not a teenager. Comics are full of one panel appearances more significant than this one, that don't become the primary book that the market chooses as its first appearance. Some people favor the first time a character is ever published on paper. Some people favor their first significant appearance in a book. Everyone has their preference for what they are going to collect. The point of this was never to debate what her first appearance is, and I never put up any kind of debate on the matter. It was to post the panel in question, and let people decide whether or not its enough for them to spend ~$25 on a copy if they don't know what they're getting for their money. And while we're on topic, Ms Marvel seems to be selling for around $25-30 right now. There you go.

  12. 1st Kamala Khan is Captain Marvel # 14. Unnamed. Is this the issue where she is in her dorm room on the last couple of pages and they don't even show her, just her arm or something? There is no dispute here. Captain Marvel #14 is the 1st Appearance of Kamala Khan. In the series, Khan takes the name Ms. Marvel from Carol Danvers, who now goes by the alias Captain Marvel. Captain Marvel writer Kelly Sue DeConnick revealed that Khan actually made a brief appearance in Captain Marvel #14 (August 2013) saying, "Kamala is in the background of a scene in Captain Marvel 14... She is very deliberately placed in a position where she sees Carol protecting civilians from Yon-Rogg."[5] About Khan's relationship with Danvers, Wilson said http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ms._Marvel_(Kamala_Khan) Captain Marvel #17 - 1st Appearance of Kamala Khan as the New Ms. Marvel
  13. We have asked CGC before on other comics. For example, Hellboy. They responded a few days later regarding Dime Press #4 and what the label description will be.
  14. How about we just ask CGC directly in the "Ask CGC" Forum on the label description for Avenging Spider-Man #9 & Captain Marvel #1.
  15. I was just writing about that. CGC needs to be proactive instead of reactive on this one. CGC needs to call Marvel now or do the reseach and make sure which issue Avenging Spider-Man #9 or Captain Marvel #1 (2012) will have the notation of "Carol Danvers becomes the new Captain Marvel" on the label. Uhm, no. Reactive is fine. I prefer they use their resources to grade books. (thumbs u Those same resources will be used to reholder all the books that are not properly labelled to begin with. 5 minute phone call, 1 email or 15 minutes of research can save weeks in grading time for mislablled comics. Surprised by your comment, knowing you have expressed your fustration when CGC mislabels or adds no notation to a comic and you have send it back to CGC to reholder.

  17. IMO I would wait on buying any Ms. Marvel comics until I knew for sure that Carol Danvers is going to be Ms. Marvel first before becoming Captain Marvel. Kamala Khan has a better chance being Ms. Marvel in the MCU than Carol Danvers right now.
  18. Anybody buying Ms. Marvel comics better hope that Carol Danvers starts off as Ms. Marvel before transitioning to Captain Marvel by the end of the movie. Listening to Kevin Feige yesterday that doesn't look like that is going to happen. Just buy MSH #13, Captain Marvel #1 (2012) & Avenging Spider-Man #9
  19. How is Guardians's results what made DC/Warner move its date? This date change had to be done by either company, which a few detailed analysts clearly called out as the right move for both studios to benefit. Take the Marvel blinders off, and see reality. Plain and simple. WB got scared. Fearful that it would lose money competing with Captain America 3. There is no way that this announcement today is a coincidence and not a direct correlation with the success of the GOTG movie. Ask yourself this. Why didn't WB announce this a SDCC when it had the attention of the international media.
  20. DC announcing 9 dates and moving BvS Dawn of Justice is a direct result of GOTG movie. WB should have announced this at San Diego Comic Con 2 weeks ago. Clearly WB was waiting for the results and fan reaction to the GOTG movie as it is the biggest gamble any studio has taken with relatively unknown characters. IMO, its sad to see that WB had little faith in their DC properties and it took a talking raccoon and tree for WB to take a leap of faith.
  21. Gal Gadot is a beautiful woman but I can't look at this picture and think of her as Wonder Woman. From this picture she has gained little weight. All she is doing is working out her arms for more definition and that's it. Inaddition, this picture also proves to me that there was alot of work done (photoshop) on Gal to make her look thicker or bigger in the Wonder Woman picture.
