  1. Waitacottonpickinminute. I can write a Cerebus comic after he dies?? Cerebus 301, here I come! Cerebus: Really Latter Days. Cerebus Meets Frankenstein. A Cerebus Christmas Carol. Romeo & Cerebus. I know. I double checked and then triple checked. Its true. Actually, Judenhass is already public domain as of November 2014. I am amazed that no one has captalized on it yet.
  2. It is the calm before the storm. It was like this last year before San Diego Comic Con.
  3. Why do you think this? IMO Stan Sakai is getting older and over the last 2 years he has been setting things up to sell the property. Starting with a short animated film, theatre production, new website, returning back to the Usagi Yojimbo comic series, etc... and all this was done while his wife was sick. I feel he was rebranding Usagi Yojimbo to sell. There are many creators like Dave Sim (Cerebus) I think Dave'll die poor before he lets a studio basturdize cerebus. I just can't see that one happening. You are right. Did some research and found out he has made arrangements for his body of work (Cerebus, Judenhass, Glamourpuss) to fall into the public domain following his death. Absolutely crazy.
  4. wow, that's wild. The one movie paid for the rights I said the same thing. One movie paid for the rights and if TMNT wasn't competing with GOTG at the same time it would have made more money. When the rights were sold, we all thought it was to low. We were right.

I feel he was rebranding Usagi Yojimbo to sell. There are many creators like Dave Sim (Cerebus), Jeff Smith (Bone), Sergio Aragones (Groo), Matt Wagner (Mage & Grendel), Neal Adams (Bucky O'Hare), Stan Sakai (Usagi Yojimbo) from the 1980s that really need to sell thier properties. TMNT has been a hit for Nickeldeon. TMNT film (2014) alone paid for entire TMNT property. Nickelodeon paid 60 million for TMNT. The TMNT film made a profit of 80 million after expenses and that is not including DVD sales & merchandise. I haven't even talked about the cartoons, comics, video games & the TMNT 2 film yet. If I had to guess, Nickelodeon is probably looking at Bone as their next purchase. Nickelodeon has wanted to purchase Bone and/or distribute movies since the 1990s.
  6. I have said this before. Stan Sakai will sell the rights to Usagi Yojimbo, it is only a matter of time. Unfortunately, with the passing of his wife the odds are even better now. Hopefully he will sell to Nickelodeon so Usagi Yojimbo can join the TMNTs. I would not be surprised if Nickelodeon is actively searching for its next property to purchase especailly with the success of TMNT.
  7. The store I usually find stuff like that had none either. But I found 4 Marvel now point ones for cover there. You won't find any because people already hyped this book a year or 2 ago in this thread.
  8. Finally! You can't have X-Force without New Mutants first. My prediction: Movies: Deapool - New Mutants - Cable? - X-Force Villian: Stryfe Story Arc: X-Cutioner's Song
  9. Yup. Making all copies of Thor: God of Thunder #25, Avengers #30 & Thor #1 worthless.
  10. Two people I talked too about Flash says this is the best show on TV. The best man at my wedding who is in his forties, and my 22 year old nephew. So I guess it`s a hit for all ages. I liked it myself. I haven`t watched them all yet, but will do now with all the good buzz. Episode 15 "Out of Time" will blow your mind.
  11. Don't like it. 1. Get rid of the tattoo on the forehead and metal teeth. 2. Change the deck of cards tattoo to Jokers not Aces. 3. Change 1 of the smile tattoos to a Harley Quinn related tattoo. If this is the new Joker, I can't even imagine what Harley Quinn would look like. I don't know what DC/WB is doing but you can't market this Joker to the general public especially children.
  12. Once again, Kamala Khan was purposely placed in Captain Marvel #14 for a reason. There is no debate for Captain Marvel #14 as 1st Appearance. Captain Marvel writer Kelly Sue DeConnick revealed that Khan actually made a brief appearance in Captain Marvel #14 (August 2013) saying, "Kamala is in the background of a scene in Captain Marvel 14... She is very deliberately placed in a position where she sees Carol protecting civilians from Yon-Rogg."
  13. So funny, I was just about to write that. This is as far as I got. Maybe I think differently but did anyone ever think that they might use more than 1 spider-man. Spider-Man (Peter Parker) gets hurt during Civil War. Spider-Man returns at the very end of the movie to reveal himself as Miles Morales or even Miguel O'hara
  14. I don't think it was years as the facts and illusions set has a date of 1992 on it. The vhs comic set must have packaged after the August SDCC though because that's where the footage is from but I have no idea when the mini comic was published. It's something that definitely warrants further research for Spawn fans. Let me end this debate. Crusade of Comics Presents Spawn #1 (released 8/92 @ SDCC) 1st Appearance of Lotus Origin of Spawn retold Sam, Twitch & Violator Appearance The mini-comic was then repackaged with "Facts and Illusions" & "Lotus" Package with Spawn #1 and given out at 1993 SDCC and sold through retailers like Wal-Mart. The mini-comic was given out at the 1992 SDCC and then again in 1993 packaged with VHS. This is always what I thought, but I could never prove it. Do you have any type of copyright info, or something that shows these dates? yea it would be nice to have definative proof, some internet resources claim a publication date of jan 1992 which has not been proven either. it would be nice to know the print run also. All those sites do that when there is no month indicated but the year is known. Also you can just email or call Gladstone Publishing about the comic.

Do you have any type of copyright info, or something that shows these dates? 1. I bought several mini-comics a few years ago from a dealer who got them at the 1992 SDCC. Did some research on the net and thought they were packaged with VHS. See Spawn #1 Thread. Returned to dealer and asked about the package. Told the Crusade of Comics Presents Spawn #1 was an ashcan or mini-comic given out in 1992 and the package was 1993. 2. Bought 2 cases of the "Lotus" package a few months back. 1 sealed case marked 1993 (in storage) and another case of 29 packages from Walmart marked 1993 & 1994. The Walmart case had some returns for defective VHS tapes with notes & price stickers. Walmart original price tag was $18.96 per package. Copyright dates indicated. Crusade of Comics Presents Spawn #1 (no publication date) VHS Tape (1992) Lotus Card (1992) Spawn #1 (1992) Package (1993) - see the back of the package *All indivdiual contents produced in 1992 and packaged together in 1993

  17. Got these back from CGC 3 days ago and there is NO notation regarding it. ANYONE KNOW? Got these back from CGC 3 days ago and there is NO notation regarding it. That post was made two days ago. 3 > 2 Someone already responded. It was a very recent decision by CGC.
  18. I guess no one saw the "label updates" from CGC in the "Ask CGC" thread And the winner is "So we've talked about it in the grading room and this is what we did - Avenging Spider-man #9 - 1st Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel, predates Captain Marvel #1 (9/12) Captain Marvel #1 - Carol Danvers becomes the new Captain Marvel. Iron Man Wal-Mart Custom Comic 1st appearance of Phil Coulson in comics (out of Marvel Universe continuity). Battle Scars #1 1st appearance of Phil Coulson in Marvel Universe continuity. X-Men Annual #14 Gambit cameo (pre-dates Uncanny X-Men #266)" Label Updates
  19. I told everyone about a year ago not to underestimate the Marvel Age issues and everyone laughed. Looks what's happening now. To copy what RMA said Marvel Age issues are only previews and NOT 1st appearances.
  20. Just a few hints. (see above) Took off spoiler tag as it is only speculation for now.
  21. I know there is a lot more for Green Lantern starting at #48. Here are a few examples. I have more.
