  1. I can understand it - with some of these variants, you can't even tell what book it's supposed to be. Maybe that's a "get off my lawn" mindset, but I get why people would want the book in the main form the publisher intended...
  2. I thought so too, but this video is pretty cool - he envisioned the two covers as a cover A and a cover B variant for 300, and they instead used the art as a cover for 301: https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?v=1517778108266266&ref=watch_permalink
  3. Problem solved, just send it to me - I promise to take care of it.
  4. Crazy that 9.0s are now breaking the $1,000 mark and 8.5s are knocking on the door...
  5. First in the thread wins. No probation or HOSers. Buyer pays actual shipping, happy to work with you on your preferred method to get a good shipping cost. Pay by Paypal, no international buyers (sorry) and no returns. I don't have a Kudos thread, but I have had a few transactions on the board as a buyer. Open to reasonable offers, "take its" in thread win out over PM negotiations though. Selling 2 brand-new-in-box NECA TMNT figures from the 2008/2009 line: Leonardo and a 2009 SDCC April O'Neil with Mousers. These have never been opened and I am the original owner, I bought them in '08-09. Boxes show typical, minimal shelf wear; I can provide additional photos if needed.
  6. 79 is the best cover in the bunch in my opinion - just picked up another copy today for $5 while I was out digging.
  7. That's probably the key point I'm missing as I think about this - I suppose there are a lot of flippers fueling the market right now, so a better indicator will be what it's doing in 6 months. Probably similar for the Batman Fortnite stuff. FWIW, I grabbed a SIKTC at "cover price" - found a store that was selling it for $3.99, and they still had cover B of the Batman Fortnite for $5.99 so I grabbed that too for the heck of it. Even if they tank, I dig the covers, and my kid loves Fortnite.
  8. I see a lot of people complaining that print run of the Something is Killing the Children 1 8th print is "super high" at 75,000 - maybe it's because I was initially into comics in the 80s/90s and seeing astronomical print runs, but is that really that high? Aside from the fact that it's an 8th printing, there are plenty of other books that had similar print runs that went on to be valuable; Ultimate Fallout 4 had a print run of 74,000 for example. I'm not trying to compare an 8th printing of a book to the first appearance of a major, major character, I'm just trying to understand why people think $20-25 on a hot book with a print run of 75K is so overinflated - surely the demand must still outstrip the supply even at that print range, right?
  9. I traded a bunch of 90s filler Batman issues to an LCS today for store credit and picked up a few books, including a really nice-looking 161 for what I felt like was a good value just because I liked the cover and I like that era (their store back issue bins are like a treasure hunt, titles/eras/etc. are all mixed together). Came home and was looking stuff up online and saw that Key Collector showed a huge increase in sales of this issue between this week and last. Glad I found your post because I was coming here with the same question!
  10. I always said I'd be a terrible comic book shop owner, because I'm awful at selling things, even if those things sit in a box and I never look at them again (which for stuff like these TMNT figures is probably a great reason to sell them, so someone else can actually enjoy them). But I'm really considering selling the Neca TMNTs - the ones above and the boxed sets I have - because it would take me a long way toward owning a book I really want, like a Batman 251 (could probably even get a 9.2-9.4ish with the sale proceeds based on current market price for the turtle figs) or even potentially a low-mid grade ASM 129...
  11. Immortal Hulk 45 looks to be climbing, especially the cover A and the Deadpool variant.
  12. I agree! I actually also have this four-pack set and a box set of the four in black and white too. I was shocked when I saw what they're selling for on eBay, might have to bite the bullet and sell... They are ridiculously cool though.
  13. Was doing some spring cleaning and came across these two in storage. I didn't realize how pricey/hard to find these are now... bought them back when they first came out...
  14. 3 Rockstar Bradygames Guides - GTA 3; GTA Vice City and State of Emergency - $15 for the lot
  15. First in the thread wins. No probation or HOSers. Buyer pays actual shipping, happy to work with you to get a good shipping cost. Pay by Paypal, no international buyers (sorry) and no returns. I don't have a Kudos thread, but I have had a few transactions on the board - I'm usually a buyer, but have a few things I want to start to sell. Open to reasonable offers, "take its" in thread win out over PM negotiations though. Listing some strategy guides for various games, mostly from the PS1/PS2/Gamecube era. Most of these are in used condition but were fairly well taken-care of. Some have store stickers from their original purchase. I'll list a couple to start and to see if there's any interest, and we can go from there. I can provide additional photos/info if needed.
  16. Since there are a lot of sellers here, what do you think a reasonable time period is for a buyer to wait before they reach out to ask about something being shipped? I bought two books from a seller on Friday. I always pay immediately when an auction ends or when I do a BIN. The seller still hasn't shipped (eBay's original estimated delivery time is this Thursday, 4/29, based on the seller's shipping and handling settings, which obviously isn't going to happen at this point).
