  1. Well, if I knew that, I wouldn't have bought that DC Comics Presents 47... I personally still think the Thor is the better option, just my opinion.
  2. Also, I don't know how much this matters to you, but you may want to consider some other things, like wrap (is the cover centered nicely on one vs the other?) and page quality (are both White pages, or is one an OW/W or worse?).
  3. I love the Teen Titans, but I'd probably still take the Thor. I bought a Thor 337 9.2 newsstand for $150 in Oct. 2020, which seemed like a great deal at the time (but about right or probably a touch high now). But I just love that cover so much, and I think it has the long term potential to hold its value or increase, especially as a Marvel and an iconic cover. I don't think it'll ever go crazy in price, but I think for $225 for a 9.6 you should be fine, especially if you like the look of it. At the end of the day, all this stuff we buy could be worthless someday anyway, so buy what you like. Edited to add: I also paid $475 for a 9.0 Newsstand DC Comics Presents 47 at the height of the comic boom, so maybe I'm not the best one to get advice from...
  4. comic-stash Lowball initial offer (which is actually fine with me, it opens up a dialogue at least). I countered with a reasonable offer, and they re-countered with another kind of lowball, but ok enough that I accepted since I wanted to move the book. Then just ghosted, no payment, no response.
  5. Thanks, I was pleasantly surprised! The ASMs were $5 or 5/$20, so I paid $25 for the 6; the Batman 28 1:25 was $10; the Batman Returns, Innovation books, Wu-Tang and Star Wars were 2/$5 and the Future Imperfect set was $12.50, so the vendor gave me all of them for $25; and the Superman 233 was $40. I felt like I did a pretty decent job bargain hunting!
  6. I love the cover to 199. I own a modest 7.0 CGC. On some thread on the boards, I figured out all of the issues featured on the cover (yes, they're all actual covers of their respective titles - the Flash one is issue 175 for example). I thought about tracking each of them down at some point. You have an outstanding collection!
  7. This is just my own observation, so an obviously small/flawed sample size, but I've been to multiple LCSs and a comic show in the past week, and I saw maybe literally 5-6 copies of Vol. 1 TMNT for sale across all of those, and the ones they had were some of the "less desired" copies - stuff like #34, #38-40 - the ones that always seem to pop up when looking. I don't know if it's just where I'm looking, or if Vol. 1 copies are just becoming more difficult to source. I've personally found copies in the past few years locally, but not so much anymore. Again, just an observation, infer away...
  8. This cover has to be the most "homaged" within its own title - I love it, but it seems like there are a bunch of different Hulk issues that copy it!
  9. Wasn't quite sure if these are Silver or technically Bronze:
