  1. Kubert was the cover king IMO. Even though he is not super detailed, his compositions and the simplicity of the line work is amazing to me. I could stare at his war covers all day.
  2. I have just been trolling this thread for the past couple of days, and am flabbergasted. Not much more I could add that others haven't already said but the prices of raws still on ebay for auction have gone nuclear...WTF! https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=ultimate+fallout+4+c2e2&_sacat=63&LH_TitleDesc=0&LH_PrefLoc=2&rt=nc There are BIN's sitting at $750 while 3 auctions are soaring upwards of $25K.
  3. I should look into another venue for cheaper books to sell as runs/lots etc. I am just not much of a social media person. I truthfully can't stand it though if selling through a group versus my own page I guess I might consider it. What is a good group for selling on Facebook, and what are the requisites if any?
  4. Ice cold doesn't even begin to describe my sales. I have 2 sales in the last 5 weeks. My store has almost 400 listings. I plan on listing a copy of Spider-Verse 6, and a copy of Catwoman 44 1:25 Sozomaika tonight maybe. The Catwoman book is a 9.8 so I am hesitating because I sell so many raw books that are grading worthy. I just haven't sent books to CGC myself in many years. I need to start as I have tons of gradeable inventory. I'm getting tired of packing up $4-8 books one at a time. I'm putting together sets to alleviate that as I process boxes and consolidate like runs/mini series together.
  5. I think the Spider-Man 2099 Exodus B cover frame variants are a good long play. The series has introduce several new 2099 iterations to boot, though, we know how many of these characters may never amount to anything at all. Not ratio variants, but variants nonetheless. I think collectors will want to put the whole set together. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=spiderman+exodus+frame+variant&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&rt=nc
  6. Not heating up yet per se, but the She Bites #1 from Scout looks pretty short ordered. One seller does have 10 in the quantity but all other seller have maybe 1-3 copies each. I have seen at least 2 YouTube reviewers give it high praise as a great and funny read. May be a book that starts heating up on it's own merit vs. the token "It's been optioned" malarky. Cover A trumps the 1:10 IMHO. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=She+Bites+%231+scout&_sacat=259104&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=strange+2+2022&_osacat=259104
  7. I would have said 7.0 tops even after clean and press. Book looks pretty good in the slab but I'm thinking gift grade on this one. It seems CGC grading is all over the place right now? nice book
  8. All I can say is that books looks pretty nice, and a newsstand copy of that in high grade is probably pretty darn rare.
  9. Wow, a store full of 9.4 or lower modern CGC books. Most of the books I see in that store are 9.8 or bust. Baffles me that a business that sells CGC pre-order comics can't discern between 9.8 and 9.4-. This is a clear indidcation of why people don't get their 9.8 pre-orders. They don't know what a 9.8 looks like and send tons of copies to CGC wherein 50%+ come back in a lower grade.
  10. How much for the soda's and Pringles baking in the sun?
  11. I finally had a sale Monday the 4th after 3 weeks of nothing. About fell off the couch when I heard the cash register sound come from the ebay app on the phone. Crazy thing was that I had a sale in my store of 10-15% off that ended Sunday, and generated no sales. Sold a copy of G.I. Joe Saturday Morning Adventures #1A for $22.
  12. First arc was okay to me as well. Not liking the Larroca art too much either. Waiting on the 2nd TPB soon to get somewhat caught up. I have also read a couple of the latest Titan book released, and really tore through them pretty quick. Having Marvel end up with these licenses is exciting at first , but wears off quickly these days to me as Disney owns the company. Did you ever think Disney would be making Alien comics/movies/tv shows? I didn't. Disney has made Disney movies for 60+ years and they were pretty good at it because, well, they were the only people making Disney movies. Now they want to make horror and sci fi material!?!
  13. One of the recent Image books I didn't order at all. Seemed like it was getting a bit of attention by several youtubers and would be over-ordered.
  14. I haven't made a sale on Ebay in almost 3 weeks. I've posted some decent books but no one is buying my wares right now.
  15. Yea, quality sucks from many publishers and the shipping/handling from the printers is not great either obviously. Image= great quality even cardstock for $2.99 cover prices while Marvel/Dynamite and others having total garbage materials etc. The only way to hegde this that I have found is to order the same book from more than 1 pre-order site. For instance, I will order 3 copies of Avengers #?? from TFAW, and 3 more more from say Dark Dominion. Both places may send me great copies, but more often than not, 1 sites copies I get are less than average 8.5-9.2 books while the other copies I get are all 9.4-9.8. There is no rhyme or reason to this except that some worse copies all end up in one large geographic area while another gets better copies. Most retailers will not refund or send you better copies for minor flaws and damages unless they look thrshed from shipping to you. They may not have better copies to ship you if they all came in less than par. It sucks but is the reality of Modern comics right now.
  16. Came across this just by chance, and had no idea that this books garnered this type of coin. Low print and by a company that is still around, but only puts out like random tpbs and such. Forgotten Realms Homeland #1 https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=forgotten+realms+homeland+ddp&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1
  17. These crossover books seem to get overlooked sometimes until the 3rd or 4th issue drops. Collectors of either franchise jump on and seek out the 1st couple of issues only to find that pickings are slim. I have a handful of every issue so far as I figured the set would be a good mid to longterm hold. I wasn't aware that #1 was picking up steam. The same has happened with He-Man Tundercats to a lesser extent. Also Freddie Williams III on covers. That is a $50+ set in NM. I would assume this new PR vs Godzilla has a much smaller print run.
  18. Pull them out of the Polybag. It does nothing but cause an indent on the BC from the seam, and it is cheap plastic that will do the books no good anyhow.
  19. I know nothing of that Lionsgate variant, thought it looks to be a promo from buying a DVD? Maybe given out in stores while supplies lasted if you bought a specific DVD collection I would assume. I have also never found the regular Marvel edition in the bins that I remember. Maybe I did come across it 20 years ago and went right past it without even a secon glance? On that note though, Cerebus just released a homage cover to that book. Looks pretty underordered except for one seller on Ebay in Canada with more than 10 available. I pre-ordered a handful myself and am awaiting hopefully nice copies. You may want to snag a couple of these: CIH Presents Alien Life 1
  20. This is Brzrkr #1 2nd/3rd print all over again. I ordered like 8 copies of this from 2 different sources and I'll be surprised if I even get any. Why did they allocate this? My Brzrker 2nd prints I ordered 10 and received none. Same with the 3rd print. I ordered 8 or something, and got 1. I can't fathom what the reasoning is for this malarky.
