New Years Resolutions:
1) to cut down the issues required for a complete run of X-men from 31 down to 15 (if not better)
2) to send to CGC my raw issues of between 1-94
3) to start to upgrade those issues i already have slabbed
AND THE BIG RESOLUTION
4) to finally get my holiest of holies grail...X-Men #1
What are your resolutions for the coming year?
My resolutions........
Continue my X-men upgrade
1) Fill in the few holes left in 100-201
2) fill the reprint holes 9.4 and up (slabbed of course)
3) continue the upgrade of SA X-books to 9.4 or higher.
4) pickup an x-men 3 in 9.4
5) fill in CA and Modern X-men holes when available.
I'll be very busy
I've got my for you to succeed (well except when we are both going after the same book...not that i would do that to YOU ).
The upgrading is the devil of it all, but it must be done if you want to settle fully on

179 is one of the first X-Men I can remember owning... love the cover
Personally I think Kitty should've stayed with him...nice guy, and looks aren't everything ya know...
It's that same logic seen when you see a lot of
ugly kids walking the streets these days...
Yes but when he got his "make over" from Apocalypse, he was quite buff. Am sure Kitty would have loved it...

Books that I am working a trade for and will be mine very soon.
Nice books, Danny
those are excellent books, especially the #164 cover that you get them all

OK, since i am a nice guy...check out vintagecollectables.net ( assume that it's a good honest site overall)
I did a little comparison with a few other sites and the prices are not too bad considering the grades.
An example Metro has a raw #96 for $245 as opposed to the slabbed 9.6 for $440
Good luck. I'll have to pass. Maybe next year for me.
then i shouldn't tell you about #103 & #105 in 9.8?
have i tempted ya?
My heart says yes but my wallet is screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I have already have spent too much. Thanks but I'll have to wait until next year. What site did you find these beauties at?
Found them at Heritage. They've got arun in their weekly auction #92-109 plus some more. Lowest grade is 9.2. So they may not make it past this auction.
And like you my wallet is screaming at the ref for a 10 count, but i am going to make a play for one of them if not both.

I noticed you bidding on those books this morning, phoenix. I put a couple half-hearted bids in myself...

Nice books. Congrats!
Excellent start well done

i think if you added up all titles collected in the 334 pages of this thread. x-men would win by a landslide
Goes to show you how plentiful they are out there
You cannot blame us x-men fans for respecting and looking after our copies, unlike the moldy oldies from GA land...

What did it finish at??And you didn't go after the #92?
That was priced beyond even my deep pockets.
That final price was absurd
About $718 from memory..i know it was a 9.8, but still!!
According to the census, it's the only 9.8. so it wasn't that bad I guess.
Very true, i just wish it was mine
