  1. I've only been active on these here boards for about 3 months or so, and this is now the 3rd (4th if you count Dylan's ridiculous post yesterday) of these sorts of posts I've seen. It's a bit disconcerting if I'm being honest. I'm not spending, or selling anything for, mass amounts of money here as of yet. But, I have been a semi regular peruser of sales threads and even started one of my own (go me!). This sort of stuff doesn't instill a lot of confidence. It's cool that the community does self regulate, but it's not so cool that is has to so often. Is this normal? Or are we just hitting the crest of a wave here?
  2. Whew, 2 minutes late, thank god. I couldn't resist the temptation any longer.
  3. I'd rather just focus on how badly Arsenal is playing than bang my head against a wall dealing with that site.
  4. Seriously, I refresh right at 3:20, button appears, I hit it, it's out of stock. Not even worth my time at this point. I'll hold off.
  5. Yea, but if each wave is selling out within 30/45 seconds, you have to get EXTREMELY lucky to get a button press in before they sell out again. I'll keep trying, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.
  6. lol, at 3pm I could not add to cart cause it was out of stock. Apparently the bots haven't stopped yet.
  7. I have made the concession that I'd pay $100'ish over retail if I could get one. But most of these scalpers are too greedy (and consumers too anxious) for even that to be a reachable goal. So, I'll just keep waiting until the supply actually meets the demand. Or I get lucky and check in when a new shipment is in. I've hit the Target/Wal-Mart/Best Buy drops here and there and had much the same happen - get it in my cart then the website crashes, or it's sold out, or whatever. Nothing is worth that kind of aggravation. :P
  8. On a side note. The plastic bins, like the pic I posted above, come with 1 hard plastic divider you can put in to separate the slabs. They also sell packs of 4 or 5. So, using those you can keep the amount of slabs you are stacking up down to 4 or 5 at a time. It's a nice system.
  9. Alright, closing this up. Thanks to everyone who bought or looked. I'll get in touch today to arrange payment stuff. -Mike
  10. Welcome, Jake. Lots of people here who love to talk, and argue, about comic books. Hope you find the niche you're looking for!
  11. Going to close this up around noon, probably move some of the comics to their own threads in other forums. If you've already bought something and want more, feel free to add it in at 10% off.
  12. So bagged and boarded GA you store spine down? Is there a box made for that? Or do you mean slabbed?
  13. I have had 1 shipment from CGC go to the PO where I had to go pick it up cause I wasn't home. Other 2 were just left, but I think they saw me in the house anyway, just didn't require the sig from me.
  14. I literally finished selling off all my loose cards about 3 weeks ago. Went to my local LCS and bulk sold a box or 2. All the big stuff had been sold already. Except one, for some reason I had a Gate of Phyrexia sitting in a box here. So I sent it in to get graded, see what that was all about. Waiting on it to get back. I mean, it's no Mox or Lotus, but I am interested to see how card grading works, etc...
