  1. I mail books to CGC (cause unless it's something stupid expensive I'm too lazy to drive up there and drop it off). I live about 15-20 miles south of Sarasota in a place called Venice. My package gets picked up in Venice, goes to the Sarasota distribution center, to the Tampa (Ybor city, technically) distribution center, back to the Sarasota distribution center, to a Sarasota Post Office, to delivered to the CGC offices. It's a fun process to watch, especially if I send priority and it all happens within a day.
  2. AlleyBat is/was pretty persistent, eh?
  3. Sweet, something to look forward to!
  4. I do hope this thread carries on for another 1.5 hours or so... I need entertainment until the last episode of WandaVision is live.
  5. I have nothing substantial or meaningful to add... I just want to be part of the hottest thread on the site!
  6. As an aside, it is a very cool effect IMO. I'd crack it out of the slab, put it in some mylar and display it somewhere. That's pretty cool looking.
  7. Yea, Hobgoblin is awesome. I haven't heard if he's confirmed, but I sure hope so.
  8. It seems like the entirety of Marvel key prices are driven by movie/tv show speculation or reality. Look at West Coast Avengers #45. Literally an almost afterthought of a book/storyline until this last weekend.
  9. Yea, CGC would accept it if you just threw a stamp on a mylar and mailed it in. All about making sure it's well protected and you feel good about it.

    Loug2 Kudos

Bought a few cool modern variants recently. Price was good, he was communicative, and the shipping was fast, thanks!
  11. You can, of course, sell it on Ebay of you want. But if you do you can't also list it for sale here. There's a forum, right below the sales forums, for people to post links to their Ebay sales: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/19-comics-market-sales-advertising-ebay-dealers-etc/ Otherwise, you have to take it off of Ebay to sell it in here. I think there are rules around what you have to offer, etc... to post here, that link Logan provided will tell you al of that.
  12. Just bought a sweet slab from Jaydee and he added in some freebies on top of it. He was easy to deal with and the books look great!
  13. Wait, fair to other sellers? I'm just a new guy, so maybe I missed something... Am I the only one that looks at ALL new replies on a board since last time I was there. And then if something in that thread title, or what I saw in it earlier, interests me I check it out even if it's not at the top of the board?
  14. I mean, some people just can't afford to do the grading thing. It's not exactly cheap. They go pick up a comic at their LCS, read it (or not if they realize they might have something special on their hands), it looks amazing and they know people are looking for that issue, so they go to sell it. The idea that everyone should just grade their comics if they're 9.6+ candidates is a bit elitist.
  15. Well, there's here on these boards. I also have bought from these guys on Instagram, really good guys and some great prices, especially during their claimfests: https://www.instagram.com/elite_comics11/

  17. I asked a similar question a few days ago. Lots of good advice and ideas in here as well. Short answer is mylar + fullbacks.
  18. So this time around I had it at a 4.5/5.0. I've been pretty close on the consensus every time I've posted a book on here, but usually I'm a little higher not a little lower. Still, thanks for all your input it's helping me immensely.
