  1. That is a crazy and impressive collection, but man it must have been exhausting collecting all that. I feel like I have too many books and I got like 4 short boxes. LOL.

Like some else said. I hope the guy got a good price for all of it.

I don’t know about a million . That would be entering realm of detective comics 27, marvel comics 1 , Superman 1 . I don’t think it’s that caliber of comic . It’s rare in 9.8 those other comics are rare period . Like less than 50 copies or something like that .

I think TMNT #1 will be in a category with those books. It's still relatively new, age wise, but give it a couple of more decades it'll be a 60 year old book at that point. I think it'll be a million dollar book easily.

The 1st print is easily my holy grail of comics, so I may be a bit biased here. LOL.

Holy hell.  Someone offered $220K and it didn't get accepted?  That's wild!!

Imagine where prices are going to end up after the all the people that want to cash out have sold.  It seems like the surge is causing long time holders to sell for huge profits.  So what happens next?  Is there an aftermath period where the new buyers hold and the leftover longtime holders still don't sell?  Or is it a continual surge.  There has to be a leveling off at some point, right?  I am absolutely fascinated by the TMNT comic market.  What do you guys think?

That is pretty crazy they turned down $220k. But with the how many TMNT fans there are and how relatively few first prints there are, I see #1 being a million dollar book in a few decades. Maybe sooner.

  4. I bought a personal grail (TMNT #1) from Jerry and it couldn't have gone better.

Great seller and went above and beyond to accommodate me in getting the book.

A pleasure to deal with and will purchase more for sure in the future. 😎🙌

Thanks for your insight. I was thinking about buying them for future resale and wasn't sure if this is a good purchase with them being almost a complete run of volume 1? I do have a second printing of #1 I could perhaps include wit the set and perhaps in a few years may double in price? How's your volume 4 collection coming along? Which issues do you need?

I just have issues #1 and #15 of Vol. 4 at the moment.

I'm trying to finish my Vol. 1 run but it's super hard with the remaining issues I need. I still need #11, #13, #16, #28 and 62. I'm doing it in 9.8 grade so those last 5 issued are very tough to get.

Also need a #1 first print. Amy grade at this point. LOL.

Fantastic Four 48 7.5. Wasn’t going to sell, but a few people dm’d me asking if I had this so am posting for sale. Sad to see this one go from the PC, it took me years to find a wrap this nice that has “Marvel” actually visible for those who know.

Good luck with the sale! Definitely a great wrap. I don't think people realize how few of these are actually centered properly.

If you go on Ebay and look at the top 20 or so copies, maybe 2 or 3 have good centering.

Hello @ADAMANTIUM This is the link to the page. Maybe you could advise me, do you think this is a good purchase for 3,600 - seller would accept 3,400? It is from the UK but almost the entire run of volume 1? Thoughts?

That price is also in pounds. It says the conversion rate makes it about $5,100 USD.

I wouldn't pay that, personally. It is nice to look at them all together though. The "City At War" arc and covers are great.

I still need a few issues from vol. 1.

I'm now very slowly starting Vol. 4.

    It never stops... LOL.

always items coming up. What are you looking for?

    I've been looking for X Factor 6 9.8, Captain America 100 9.8, and Turtles vol. 1, issues 11, 13, 16, 28, and 62 in 9.8.

But in general I just saw your thread and it had some cool books that you post and was hoping I didn't join in to late. Can't wait to see what comes up next.
