  1. Thanks for the info! I finally made it through the wall there and there were definitely newsstands in there, heres my haul. Any gems? The only oddball I found was the Gen 13 ones which all have the 2 numbers on the right but 2 of them say direct sales.
  2. A lot of people list high realizing it only takes 1 drunk/high/uninformed person to click that button and overpay.
  3. Dont forget your batman movie rookie card!
  4. I thought this might be a little controversial... but if I didn't put it out there someone else would have. First appearances are being redefined. They aren't going to get off the lawn, barring a giant crash. This was less than a 10 dollar book a month ago. I wonder if any are sitting at CGC yet...
  5. I was giving this some thought recently and theres a lot of good info in this thread, but I think trying to "grade" the comic by comparing the current scale to image scans may be the wrong approach. I think the best approach for getting machines to analyze comics is teaching them what "defects" are and then letting them analyze the scan of the book, noting and counting all defects across the book. I think this data set would be easier to compile as well as you wouldn't need millions of images, just a general rule set for evaluating any scan. The computer can analyze the image at a greater magnification and note pixels that don't follow consistent/known comic book patterns and such and easily put out a list of all those defects. Then you would just have to make a grading scale that accounted for types and numbers of defects noted.
  6. I'm not sure, I found it on ebay the beginning of December and loved it
  7. I really like his cover for Department of Truth #1, it's going off to get stabbed later this week.
  8. I asked at the flint one when they stocked and she said it was an outside vendor that stocked the entire aisle, all pokemon/magic/comics/etc.
  9. It all started with those damn participation trophies... "let them all have one, what can it hurt?"... 😑
  10. This might be a "DUH!" moment but if you aren't looking for one of the "big" artists, look them up and reach out. I did that for a cover I'm looking for and the artist responded very quickly and was very open to working with me. I'll post the cover if all goes well over the next few weeks!
  11. Even if that proves to be true, I cant see this issue skyrocketing more. The theory being proven true might get it a small bump again but this is crazy for this issue, imo. Much better books out there for half that with much better reliability.
  12. I'm not sure what to make of this one...
  13. What would have been a joke a short time ago now has some logical grounds. I found this in a lcs dollar box and it predates Hulk #1 by about 3 months, so this would be the true first Red Hulk, given the market around Marvel Previews #95, yeah? It even has a bonus variant cover on the back and in the current market it only takes one person agreeing to set the standard... so you can find this on the bay for 2k
  14. Did Zapzic start this service? "This one has my personal guarantee 'Beautiful Copy' post-it on the slab!" Just saw my first slab from this company. Their serial number is like 20 zeroes and then a 3 digit number 🤣🤣
  15. Most other keys don't have print runs of 3k.
  16. Does anyone know if this has ever happened? Seems to have a very big swing potential on the risk/reward spectrum.
  17. The article says that this is a direct result of DC pulling their business. Diamond closes New Memphis
  18. I saw the same guy at all 3 Walmarts this morning in the aisle lol, was that one of you? No luck yet at all 3 in flint.
