  1. Does anyone have a timeline on this process ? Just today I received two books , one with extensive Newton Rings and one with moderate scuffing . Do they open the package and reholder the book relatively quickly?
  2. Hi the vertical bend you see is on the back like a centimeter or so from the spine right ? That is what I think I see but it is hard to see even in person and I am wondering if my eyes are playing tricks on me
  3. Yes was wondering about this . They say light readers crease , guessing they would designate light color breaking if it was a color breaking crease on the back which I cant see .
  4. Yes I have a membership , I entered the number and posted the notes above .
  5. https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/3900899001/ "light readers crease back coververy light spine stress lines cover breaks color" Oh thats very cool thanks! So readers crease , geez wonder if that can be pressed , I see something that may be a valley or something but hard to tell even looking at it in person . Considering cracking this and resubmitting .
  6. Hmmmmm Didnt realize I could check without being the one to get the book slabbed .
  7. Update : Cracked , pressed and resubmitted . Came back a 9.4 albeit down to Off white to White Pages from White . Pretty Happy about this . Thanks to all for input on this book . Could someone explain to me why this a 6.5 and not higher ? There is a some very thin color breaking spine stress that I can barely see and I don't see any creases that can be pressed out , maybe there is a ridge close to the spine on the back that could be pressed out but hard to tell . I did not have the book slabbed myself . Is it possible there is some internal damage not on the cover or back of the book ? Thanks!
  8. Allright thanks for your opinion , that might make things easier and save some money to boot .
  9. Even with that severe wrinkling that a press should remove a lot of ?
  10. I acually did a PGM on this a while back , here is the link to it . Have to get it cleaned and pressed as well before submission.
  11. Haha and a 4.0 . Yes I guess it does look like the center page , didnt realize that would be called the centerfold in a regular book . I am guessing this page is more likely to be loose overall based on how the pages are arranged . Nice fantastic four book btw.
  12. oh interesting , would it receive some type of incomplete grade or other notification of damage or abnormality on the cover ?
  13. Oh didnt understand the difference and have never heard the term wrap before . I thought a leaf was what you define as a wrap . So yes it is only 1 acual piece but yes would be 4 pages and I believe a wrap using your definition .
  14. Two pics, sitting where it is supposed to and off the staples
  15. Yes you got it one completely detached leaf from the staples
  16. So I have an amazing spiderman 16 , it is relatively low grade I would estimate a 3.5-4.5 , lets call it a 4 for the sake of discussion. This is my assessment from the overall outer appearance . It also has a page that is not stapled , the whole book is complete , there is nothing severely wrong with the inside of the book save this unstapled page which sits right where it is supposed to . Assuming the book is a 4.0 in all other aspects , how much does this free standing page hurt the grade? Thanks! PS my guess is the deduction would be more severe if it was a 9.8 in all other aspects save the loose page ?
  17. There is a stain or residue hoping it can be cleaned on the left side and a small color breaking crease in same area which I see as the main flaws. Also do you think the dirt will come off the back with a cleaning to improve it along with pressing out small creases? Thanks Thanks !
  18. I dont mind so much but I will be mindful of it . Another question it raises - If I sell the book do I have a moral responsibility to list this in the description ? Also for that matter if I sold book with a small scratch on the case or a small Newton ring , should I make note of this ? I have bought many books that have had these problems and they never seem to be listed including lots of inner well scuffing .
  19. The newton rings dont bother me much acually at least the small ones
