  1. Bode´ was really out there - even for the '70s. And I am talking about his behaviour, not necessarily his art or stories. I am pretty broadminded, but what he was doing was very weird. (apologies for my bad photo skills). Anyway, this issue is "schizophrenic" as each page tells two stories, drawn in different styles. The top half is Cheech Wizard; the bottom half has a story of Bode´ where he is (appropriately) on another planet. Cheech wizard is not very uplifting and the humour is too slapstick for my taste. But the art on both stories is good, and if it is only going to cost you $1, you can't get much better value for $1 these days. And it is interesting to see the alternative art styles that were available in the undergrounds those days.
  2. And another "last of the title" from EC. I think this is a brilliant image.
  3. I think this is a stunning cover image, and shows that less can definitely achieve more. EC took this title out with a bang! I had to hunt around to get this one in as high a quality as possible.
  4. Not a good sign that a Maths Teacher needs help counting by using his fingers ... ;-) I don't need fancy technology like that - for me the number is zero.
  5. I posted this in the "what's new" thread but this iconic Frazetta cover is always worth another look!
  6. ...AND THEN Dang now I will have to dig out my copy to be reminded what happens next,
  7. yeah, 7.0 also but what brilliant colours it still has!
  8. That's very nice looking for 5.5. Congrats! The PGM thread has a few examples that are worse than that come back with a 5.5, so was hoping you would get a 6.
  9. 2.0 Shame about the tear. Otherwise it's the nicest looking 2 out there.
  10. Here's one to complement @Pantodude's offering above. For those who don't have this book, the covered-up cover story is "It Came from Alpha Centauri Looking for Love!"
  11. Wow! The printed pages do not do that artwork justice! Congratulations for getting it!
  12. Thanks! I was going to say "last pre-code" but didn't know if there would be another issued later in the same month. They certainly went out with a magnificent iconic Frazetta composition.
  13. That has been happening to Bruce Banner for ~50 years and no-one complains. There should be equal opportunity for wardrobe malfunctions.
  14. Seems like an age since I bought this but it finally arrived. This is the last in the EC "Weird..." range and the last pre-code EC SF book. This is a classic Frazetta cover, and this copy was in the best condition of any I have seen for sale so am very glad to get it!
