  1. Yep, that was me! I'm willing to bet the DET #566 was waaay underpriced. Those Shazams sell like hotcakes for me, and the key Spideys sell out faster for me than Peter can spin a web. As for BL #1, I was probably eager to rid myself of that book back then. I had no clue a TV series would be made! I've since learned that they'll make a movie/TV series for anyone. I hope you're happy with your purchases. I might set up at a new Ottawa con this November. Drop by and say "hi" if you're there. Back on topic now! Anyone notice how hot those X-MEN LEGACY issues featuring Endgame are now???
  2. Same here once I saw the cover price. It turned me off like Action Comics #1,000, Captain America #700, and all of those other larger format issues with high cover prices.
  3. Hmmm... I'm curious now. Are you sure that was me? I don't do much business with folks outside of the Montreal area (at least not knowingly!). What did you buy from me? Whether or not it was me, you tend to learn what kind of books are and will be in demand after doing this for decades. No one has a crystal ball, but you learn enough to be right more often than not!
  4. I looked in my bins and they're all gone. I think I had them priced around $6-10 prior to seeing this, so that's a premium, albeit lower than the current market value. I'll take it!
  5. And for good reason. It's a much nicer cover. The Lee cover is just anther typical Jim Lee Batman cover. Nothing new or noteworthy. A Jim Lee fan I know told me he thinks it's a recycled Batman image with a new background.
  6. Hunger is the only one I don't read--for no particular reason--so of course it's the one with a regular release schedule... The real hassle with the other two is that I tend to forget what's going on by the time a new issue comes out and I feel lost. I'm guessing the delay is due to the writer being involved with the Riverdale TV series.
  7. Yeah, what's the story with these titles? Are they done with them or do we only get 1-2 issues per year? I'm rather frustrated as a fan.
  8. I sold my copy raw for $500 CAD 2 years ago, so this price does not surprise me, even if there might be some shilling. I was happy with my $500. #NoLookingBack
  9. Hi, I'm keeping this open for a few more hours to give folks on the West coast time to wake up, then I'll be closing this and taking the books elsewhere. Thanks for looking!
  10. I'll toss in the books pictured below, as freebies, if someone purchases WD #1. NOTE: They came from a smoker and do smell.
  11. THE WALKING DEAD #1 CGC 9.8 WP White label (Pressed) Price: $3,250.00 CAD NOTE: The smudge along the left edge is from my camera lens. Sorry. This copy was pressed as mentioned above. There are 5-6 tiny spine ticks, one of which is noticeable, but my buddy who is a CGC witness told me he thinks it's really sharp, for whatever that's worth.
  12. THE WALKING DEAD #19 CGC 9.6 WP Price: $400.00 CAD NOW $360.00 CAD NOTE: The smudge along the left edge is from my camera lens. Sorry.
  13. THE WALKING DEAD #2 CGC 8.5 WP Price: $340.00 CAD NOW $306.00 CAD NOTE: The smudge along the left edge is from my camera lens. Sorry.
  14. THE WALKING DEAD #3 CGC 9.2 WP Price: $300.00 CAD NOW $270.00 CAD NOTE: The smudge along the left edge is from my camera lens. Sorry.
  15. THE WALKING DEAD #4 CGC 9.0 WP Price: $170.00 CAD NOW $153.00 CAD NOTE: The smudge along the left edge is from my camera lens. Sorry.

  17. US only? Oh well, that just simplified my decision-making process! GLWS!
  18. I'm intrigued by the symbiotic character and how it may play out, but the CGI looks awful, especially the scenes where Venom interacts with real people. There's a clear visual disconnect between the CGI character and the real life ones. We've been soooo spoiled with high-end CGI that we cringe when something less than perfect comes out! Pre-movie verdict: I'll not pay to see this in the theatre. I'll catch it online one day for much cheaper.
