  1. The guy asking $2k for a CGC 9.0 copy is smoking crack. You're looking at $150-200 for a CGC 9.4 or 9.6 copy, probably $100-125 if you just sell it raw. Well, a CGC 7.5 sold for $150.00 back in May 2016... So who knows? I do I picked up yet another NM- raw copy for $90 on ebay back in November. The people who want this book don't really care about condition which is why the selling price range for anything that's not a CGC 9.8 copy will be about the same no matter what the grade is ... And a buddy just told me he sold a raw copy about for $200-300 CAD about 15 years ago. Another guy just told me he sold his raw 9.6-9.8 last year for $500.0 CAD!!!
  2. Yes, yes it is! Really? Wow... I only have about 5 titles on my LCS' pull list and I hadn't read an issue in over year--too busy--so I didn't realize it had been only 2 issues. Really?!?!? JUST 2 issues? Crazy. Then again those other titles I read are just as bad: Low, Afterlife With Archie, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Trees... The time between issues is so long that I normally only read them about once a year, once a small stack has piled up.

  4. It's nice to see so many high grade copies of these CDN price variants, because as pointed out earlier, it's tough to find them in higher grade. As a dealer located in Montreal, I come across them quite often and I would have to say about 90% of them are in the VF range. I currently have about 100 of them in stock-mostly Detective Comics, Batman, X-Men, and ASM-but locals don't seem to care. They are after all Canadians, therefore these are not unusual to them. Perhaps I should start a sales thread here...
  5. Watch the trailer. The spore from the black goo causes the new alien to burst from the back. I already had. I thought you were all referring to something that had been established in a comic.
  6. I'm surprised that uncanny x force run doesn't get more pub or value. Were print runs really high? It was the cat's meow for quite awhile. Then it just started to lose ground. I had no issues selling 1-6 as singles for quite awhile. It was a good read, but the re-launch didn't have the same group and didn't catch on. I had several people paying $6.00-20.00 CAD/issue for nice raw copies of issues under 20 at a recent con. Seems to be plenty of demand in my area.
  7. Just completed a deal for a long boo full of Conans. Jeff came to my warehouse as promised. Thanks for the purchase! All was groovy.
  8. I loved it too. And I'm quite in love with the Isherwood Black Dragons arc on Conan the King.
  9. Actually, the more BWS work I see, the less I like it. Those faces are just terrible. I think the only stuff of his I like was his work on Weapon X and the X-Men. He seems to have mastered his craft by then. Once again, it's just a matter of taste.
  10. Good point. I'm not familiar with the exact timelines, so that would make sense. But I still dislike that helmet and rather feminine face.
  11. But it's those first 12 or so issues, where he wears the horned helmet, and has a rather svelte body and almost feminine face that I don't like. Personal taste. That's all.
  12. The comics are great too! Funny that you say that, but my least favourite issues are the BWS ones. I love his work, but his Conan just seems wrong to me. Kind of like THOR in JIM #83. A scrawny barbarian just doesn't work for me.
  13. Me too. Some of the best comics ever made. Sadly, we're in the minority. Heck, I've been trying to sell a lot of 300 or so Marvel Conan and Conan-related comics for only $100.00 CAD. Almost every pre-90 Marvel issue and no takers. It's been advertised for over a year... Send me a list of those pre-90's. Hi, Are you near Montreal? If not, there's no point. I'm not shipping these days. Sorry. I can tell you that it's an almost complete CONAN THE BARBARIAN run from about #25 to nearly the end, most of KING CONAN, RED SONJA minis, KULL THE CONQUEROR, etc... Cheers!

Almost every pre-90 Marvel issue and no takers. It's been advertised for over a year... Couldn't agree more. Conan the Barbarian and SSOC are great titles. There does seem to be a small surge on the boards in Conan popularity recently. Books in 9.6 are very affordable, raws are a complete steal. Very sad to see that Dark Horse can't even sell 10000 copies a month and their Conan efforts have been pretty solid. I was buying the DH issues back in the day, but I dropped it after Nord left. Now I'm back to reading the novels (and Lovecraft stuff).

  16. You would think that it would make a profit theatrically in this new age of comic book movies. Oh well. The comics are soooooo much better than the 2 movies and cramming the Hellboy mythos into movies does not do the source material justice anyways.
  17. Awesome! Please don't get them graded. Put them in some Mylites and enjoy them! <3
  18. Nothing "Drek" about these. These are comics, AWESOME comics!
  19. Bought an AVENGERS #1 from Dat and I have nothing but praise for the transaction. Thanks!!!
  20. I second that. This used to be an extremely useful thread years ago. Please start the debates in their own threads. People used to list books heating up with links, making this a valuable and easy to use "tool" for those of us looking to "cash in", which is pretty much all of us.
  21. Wow. You guys should have started a new thread about this. So, what is hot on Ebay???
  22. About time. I stockpiled those years ago when I was a dealer. I think it's a really cool "1st appearance". It's nice to see an editorial team pay attention to details from the past when creating new stories/characters. (thumbs u
