  1. I doubt you're going to see this, but sorry to hear about your problems. Sadly, you've created problems for others though as a result of your actions. Like someone else said, all it would have taken is a quick PM to notify us. You've taken the time to post a couple of messages here, so why didn't you bother contacting those of us with whom you had a business arrangement? I missed some opportunities to sell those books to some other people, and I could use the money, hence the reason I put the books up for sale. Another boardie even spent the money they were expecting to receive from you, and now they are in a bind... I'm still giving you 24 hours to pay up, or at least contact me. We're all human beings here and can sympathize with you. All we expect is some common courtesy in return. I hope you and your family pull through your problems.
  2. This is my last post ever here. Aces your book is finally in the mail. Goodash/ Steve has no relation to me. If possible, I would like for the mods to close my account. OK... glad my book is coming to me... You don't have to leave. I'm not mad really. I really don't know if posting here was the right thing to do... As of 2003 when I joined I've never had a problem as a buyer or seller (lucky me I guess) so this my first go around. I thought this thread was for like wake up calls to prevent someone from going on the dreaded probation list. This is a major bummer for me... We had agreed upon a pricey deal with a time payment plan. Seems like I'll never get paid now... I was wondering where he had vanished to. I actually came to this thread, thinking of bringing it to the community's attention, because it had been nearly a month since I was supposed to receive the 1st payment. More importantly, my condolences to GOODASH and his family for their loss. The books are still yours GOODASH if you want them, but please make good on the 1st payment within the next 72 hours.
  3. Believe it or not, this is the 1st time I've seen this thread. Lots of nice stuff in here!
  4. Good episode. I was shocked to see Sophia inside. Good job. It's the first time this season that the TV show has had the shock factor of the comic book. I hope there is more of that coming up.
  5. The reduced budget seems to be showing in my opinion. I'm not enjoying all that much this season. But, I'll take it nonetheless.
  6. Cool books!!! I've got 3 double-cover books getting graded, and then I'll offer them here first. Always tough to settle upon an asking price for these things that's for sure...
  7. Cool - I'd like to have a BYRNE sig on a book from that run.
  8. I sooooooo want to join this discussion, but I haven't read an issue in nearly a year and a half... I cannot believe I have held out this long, but that's what you get when you prefer the TPB route... It's my favourite series. So much so I stopped buying the floppies, because I hated the monthly wait. Instead I've chosen a 1+ year lag and then buy TPBs so I can sit down and immerse myself in an entire story arc at once.
  9. Too Bad I'm Not a Deadpool Fan... A Deadpool fan would rejoice at the results of my latest submission (why can't I get such a great result when I submit books I like?!?!? Well, at least the GL #76 I submitted to keep is a 7.5 - I expected a 6.5, 7.0 at the most ). Here is what is coming down the pipe: DEADPOOL TEAM-UP #1 CGC 9.8 BABY'S FIRST DEADPOOL BOOK #1 CGC 9.8 ENCYCLOPAEDIA DEADPOOLICA #1 CGC 9.8 DEADPOOL #58 CGC 9.8 DEADPOOL #62 CGC 9.8 DEADPOOL #65 CGC 9.8 DEADPOOL #66 CGC 9.8 DEADPOOL #67 CGC 9.8 DEADPOOL #68 CGC 9.8 DEADPOOL #69 CGC 9.8 NEW MUTANTS #98 CGC 9.8 No images yet, because there are on the way home from Florida. I really didn't expect 9.8s for the first 3 books, but I'll take'em!!! But on the flip side I was hoping for a 9.9 on at least one of the regular series DEADPOOL issues. I've submitted over 100 moderns, and I've yet to get anything higher than a 9.8. It's a conspiracy I tell ya!!! However, I'd say 90/100 have come back 9.8. I'll take that success rate any day.
  10. I'm actually a fan of his work. It reminds me of a handful of SGT. ROCK (and CREATURE COMMANDOS???) issues I loved as a kid...
  11. It's a program for the Montreal Forum (since has been closed and moved to the Bell Center). A lot of hockey history in the old Montreal Forum, with the Momtreal Canadiens winning all their Stanley Cups in it. No idea about value, but if I saw it, I'd pick it up because of the historical factor. That's really neat. What's it doing on that side of the pond??? Great find. (thumbs u
  12. It has to be a real one, considering the type of books he's selling on the forums right now. Must have cost a pretty penny... I'm guessing it's restored, only because I didn't think there was such a nice unrestored copy known.
  13. Man, talk about stealing everyone else's thunder. This thread can now be closed. Nothing will ever compare. Congrats!!!
  14. Here's some "junk", well definitely a "junk"y photo, that's for certain...
  15. I'm reading these posts... But seriously, I'm reading the BIG BANG (no relation to the TV show) about the history of cosmological theories. I've also just finished reading J.L. BOURNE's 2 DAY-BY-DAY ARMAGEDDON novels about a zombie apocalypse. I've also started reading PETER BLATTY's DOMINION and NOAM CHOMSKY's HEGEMONY OR SURVIVAL.
  16. The important thing is to play with folks who enjoy the same aspects of the game as you do, and having a good impartial and creative DM is key.
  17. The baseball equivalent of D&D. Dork Sixto Lezcano, 1979. 85/47 L/R split. (see if anybody here gets it). NOPE. I played APBA...
  18. VECNA, RAISTLIN, and the TEMPLE OF ELEMENTAL EVIL. MY 3 favorite D&D memories! (thumbs u
  19. Rule guides aren't worth much if anything due to the quantity of them floating around, unless you have pristine 1st printings.... Boxed sets, source books, and modules are where the $ value is. Not all, but many of the classics and scarcer items...
