Alan Ritchson just comes across as genuine and seems to go deep into his roles. I like that about him.

So seeing him make this work is really nice to experience as a fan.

Yeah agree, watched him in a couple of interviews recently and he does comes across well.

Might need to check out Titans as I know he’s in that but I’ve yet to give the series a chance.

  2. I didn’t quite get through it that quick but just finished the last episode and overall really enjoyed it. Been a long time since I read the killing floor, might need to pick up a few others in the series now as I only ever read a couple of others.

It certainly had its flaws but I liked the leads and the 80s tough guy vibe it had at times.

They also have that collector edition coming out for Spider-man limited at a 1000 copies. Not sure the $600 price tag is worth it though for what just seems to be a slipcase that differentiates it from the regular one.

Haha yes I saw that and thought it was a little too premium for my budget. Basically an even fancier cover but the same contents.

I know it's no consolation, but I picked up my copy at my LCS and the outer boxes of all copies they received were also damaged, but fortunately not the book itself. Also, Flash Fact: the copies of the Spidey comics scanned for that book were from the collection of the fellow (and friend of mine) that owns the LCS that I frequent in Charlotte, NC. Flash Fact #2: More than just his Spideys were photographed, so there could potentially be future volumes.

I think I got lucky as my delivery via Forbidden Planet was well packaged and the box and book were ok.

It’s way too nice of a book to settle for anything as bad as what the poster above received. I read that Taschen are going to do the same format for Fantastic Four, Avengers and Cap. All due over 2022 and 2023, pretty sure I’ll end up purchasing them all and worrying about storage later….

  5. Usually I think a small font can look quite slick, but they don’t suit Omnis at all. Big letters for the big books all the way.

Just been browsing my old list of ‘wants’ and it’s time to budget for:

Road to No Mans Land omnibus

No Mans Land Vol 1 omnibus

Death and Return of Superman omnibus (new release comes out in May)

Absolute Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War (going to have to go second hand for this one)

This would explain why there is a recent spike in ASM 30 (whatever volume after volume 1) that introduced Morlun and Ezekiel.

I really liked the Morlun storyline at the time, never been back to re read it yet but if that’s an idea being floated about then get Garfield back in and do it proper!

I was faced with a similar dilemma and opted for the  MARVEL COMICS LIBRARY SPIDER-MAN Volume 1 by Taschen. The description was impossible for me to resist. Limited to 5,000 so it won't be around forever, and under $200 (I ordered mine through Bud Plant). It's due out around the end of January.

I have found that Taschen puts out a superior product.

I'm looking forward to it. I suspect that if they have success with this one, there will be a volume 2.

My Taschen Spider-Man volume 1 has arrived, and it’s glorious!

Lovely quality paper stock and a really cool box that it sits in.

  8. I think DC movie properties have their ups and downs but they’re certainly not all bad. I agree WW84 was terrible but the first one was good, as was the likes of MOS and BvS.

Nothing wrong with trying to be different to the Marvel formula but with the WB execs seemingly changing their minds all the time, it’s never given them a chance to build on something.

I’m quite happy for the DC keys to remain affordable but at some point you’ve got to believe that collectors will turn to them more as they are still historic in their own sense.
