No sir, I do not know why you were placed on the list. But I can see your sincerity in getting off of the list. I was just looking at ways members like yourself, who are sincere in there desire to make things right, a way of getting back into the fold without having to make multiple purchases over the course of an extended period of time. I have no doubt in your sincerity to make things right sir... I was just tossing out an option that would make it quicker and easier for people, like yourself who want to attone, to get back to enjoying all the board has to offer in a way that appeases everyone. And quicker too. As a seller here, I personally want everyone who can buy, who are willingly to buy & those who will abide by board & seller rules... be given every oppurtunity to participate. I'm sure that all sellers here would wish the same... even if thats not how it always plays out. This is not brain surgery, it's simple. If you agree to purchase something, pay for it in a timely manner or let the person know, in a timely manner why you can't do that and see if you can work something out. If you SELL something, send it once it's paid for, in a timely manner and make sure it's as described. If you can't send it, explain why and send a refund. If you screw up and send something that's not as described (and stuff happens) make it right in a timely manner without being nudged by the community. Also very important is to be able to prove that you have sent what you sold. If your parcel gets lost in the post and you have no proof of postage then it's not gonna look good.

Lloyd has PM'd me an apology over the books that he didn't follow through and pay me for. I replied with this...

I've also heard of other boardies having similar experiences with Lloyd but I can't speak for anyone else.

I've had similar issues with Lloyd. I priced up a big bunch of books for him and he said he'd take three of them. Thye were so cheap that it was more of a hassle for me to do it than it was worth (the petrol for the car to get to the post office probably would have cost as much) but I was happy to do it anyway. Then he asked for prices and scans of other more expensive books and then more and then he told me he couldn't afford the couple of pounds for the three original books till the end of the month so could he wait till then. I didn't hear from him again and I wasn't going to chase him up just to do him a favour. Months later, he contacted me again asking for details of other books I'd got for sale and I sent him scans and prices and he didn't reply to me again. 10 days later I PM'd back and asked him if he wasn't interested again. He apologised about not replying and then asked me about more books. I listed some and provided prices to which he said he couldn't afford anything but asked if I could I send him some scans anyway. At this point, I gave up wasting my time. I don't have a lot of spare time and I can't afford to waste it on someone with no intention of buying anything.

A repeat offender needs to at least be named and shamed so that other boardies can avoid wasting their time.

+1, personal payment shouldn't be asked for and adding extra to cover the fees after a deal is struck is utter wildly_fanciful_statement. Sellers shouldn't be allowed to do this in the marketplace.

That's quite a problem. However could you overcome such an obstacle? I can't stand all the extra graphics and writing so I keep them turned off, but I guess it forces me to miss the stuff I'd really love to see as well. You could turn it on for a day to see the good stuff then turn it off again.
