I was looking for a term that slots between gross and train wreck, and icky fits nicely! I’m totally stealing that for my descriptive toolbox. Unfortunately, eye appeal is significantly diminished due to the stains... 3.0

Looks like the bottom spine corner has an impact crease with color loss. That and blunted corners... 9.0/9.2

Not a lot of experience with books in this condition but I’ll take a shot at it... 1.0 -

Aye, aye Chief... a press it will get. @Chief1332If you don’t mind me asking, where did you serve? (I’m assuming that you were Navy, forgive me if I’m wrong.)

Thanks everyone. I was kind of hoping the consensus would land around 7.0-7.5 as the tanning and oxidation shadow probably keeps it from going any higher. My personal grade was also 7.0.

PGM ASM 129 <===== THE GRADE IS IN =====>
MPH1964 replied to MPH1964's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Hi @joeypost, @Angel of Death kindly helped me out regarding my worry that the top staple of my ASM 129 might detach if I press this book. I was hoping that your experience with pressing could shed some light whether the staple tear would get worse or potentially detach completely during a press. I appreciate any assistance you can offer. Thanks! -
I was at 8.5/9.0 leaning towards the higher grade. Hoping to get this and the other books I posted sent out next week. Thanks to all for your input.

MPH1964 replied to MPH1964's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
I wouldn’t disagree with that, my personal grade was 4.5. -
I was thinking 3.5/4.0 due to the staining and book length color breaking crease.
