  1. No these are raw copies, so GPA or SS prices aren't so useful.
  2. Anyone know what NM copies of Chew #1 (4th Print) signed by John Layman and Rob Guillary and Wonder Woman #200 signed by Rucka, Johnson & Snyder are worth ?

  4. For sale in a Marketplace forum near you sometime soon.... I'm not a huge fan of Moderns, but War Hulk lays a serious smackdown on Juggernaut in this issue.
  5. This one goes on the want list. Spectacular cover!! Just to keep thing straight, I was hoping some JIM expert would spot the change! Here's my real book undoctored! Nice job. I prefer the variant.
  6. I ask for provenance and you produce this ! Amazing stuff Bob. I can't believe the Thor #134 cost more than the J.I.M. #118 back then. I guess the High Evolutionary used to be someone. Having said that #134 is a tough issue above 9.2, and I would love to see your PC copy. The greytone J.I.M.'s like #115 and #117 show cover discoloration so easily, but that #115 looks amazing.
  7. Great books Bob. I look forward to seeing these each day. I hope you continue through all the Kirby issues also. What happened to the story on where each book was bought from ? I was enjoying the background history almost as much as the books themselves.
  8. Eides had some spectacular J.I.M.s. I remember the #103 CGC 9.4 in particular. It was every inch a 9.6, and that's exactly how it came back when it was re-submitted to CGC. Eides had quite an eye for high grade, even back in the day.
  9. Thanks Bob, but I think it's nice seeing your sequence of books. Along with the background stories, it's giving us an insight into putting together a high grade run on a great title. p.s. the #93 CGC 9.2 is not one of my old books, but it's one of the toughest in the whole run in grade. And the best copies are not "tainted" like some of the nicest #91's and #92's seem to have been by certain allegations. Also, if I remember correctly didn't you buy it raw and submit it yourself ? Which makes it even better in my book.
  10. Great books Bob ! It's good to see Thor finally getting some props. I'm looking forward to seeing your #93 CGC 9.2.
  11. Hi Bangzoom Just wanted to say thanks for sharing these incredible books. I realize it's a pain, and an imposition, but would you mind scanning the Superman #1, Batman #1, and Detective Comics #27 ? I would love seeing your original owner copies of those 3 books close up.
  12. Kudos to Nik for his very fast payment on this MTU issue. I like to make sure every book I send reaches the buyer in exactly the condition sent, despite the best efforts of the Post Office. This applies to $30 books as well as $300. Surely that's not a bad thing ?
  13. Kudos to Danny for fast payment, and a great transaction. I'm glad you loved the book !
  14. And some.....a #131 9.8 once sold for $3,300. The last sale was the lowest price yet, and even that was $1,725.
  15. The entire Curator F.F. run is still unslabbed with a single collector apparently, so I guess the S.T. run could be also.
  16. Alan, that F.F. #3 is just stunning ! Are there any back cover flaws bringing the grade down ? With only 2 copies on the CGC Census above a 9.0, it could be interesting if you ever decided to send it in...
  17. Gotta agree with Thor #382 as a choice. I get all the philosophical depth I need from classic literature, so comics have always been about the battles for me. Seeing Thor inhabit the Destroyer armor and just tear Hela's domain to pieces was always up there for me as one of the greatest issues I have read. That whole story arc featuring the curse of "brittle bones" Hela placed on Thor (and his subsequent revenge) just blew me away when I read it as a kid.
  18. Right back 'atcha ! Bob is a class act, and an extremely professional person to deal with.
  19. Can anyone comment on how accurate the grade on the COA has proved to be against the CGC grade. On the above example Brother Power The Geek #1, COA was 9.0, CGC was 9.4. Off the top of my head, all of the COA grades exactly match the CGC grade on the 4 or 5 Northland J.I.M.s I own.
  20. Great book Bob. That's possibly my favourite S.A. cover of all time ! My own 9.4 oww would possibly be the last book to go in my collection.
  21. You're welcome buddy ! Kudos to Beyonder for being a great, honest guy to deal with and for such fast payment.
