  1. Definitely a strong resemblance... Personally, I'm leaning to towards Wells being an older, alternate reality version of Barry who came back after the Crisis on Infinite Earths to shape Barry into the hero that he (Wells) hadn't become.
  2. The Grodd theory is interesting and would be a *great* twist, but we've already seen evidence that Wells has knowledge of future events in Flash's life. This strongly suggests that he's got to have some form of time travel available to him. Other than Professor Zoom, how many time travelling villains are there to choose from?
  3. Best part of last night's episode was the teaser for next week... Captain Cold time!
  4. Before he comes into the scene from below, you see his metal box broken open and a technician down on the floor. Why he would have been taken to Cybertech's facility, definitely is a plot-hole ignored for the very fun pay off of killing him off comically and without question. Very Wheddon-esque thing to do. They didn't take Garrett there, that was where they took him into custody... It appeared to me that he had overpowered his guards before they got him out of the building and had gone to the Deathlok regeneration room to get an "upgrade" before fighting his way out of the facility.
  5. Any word yet on when The Flash will air? I'm not sure whether to hope it's off-season from Arrow so I'll have something to watch year round or to hope they run concurrently for the crossover potential...
  6. Another good one. Nice twist finding out who was in charge of Project TAHITI... And I liked the "Who or what is a Man-Thing?" comment from Hill discussing her meeting with Congress. Guest spot on Season 2?
  7. D'oh! I'll have to check if it's coming on next week in Canada. Otherwise I guess I'll try to find it on the net someplace...
  8. Wait! Was there an episode last night?!?! My PVR didn't record anything!!!
  9. It was a subtle transition with people still calling him The Vigilante and The Hood pretty regularly. I'm just waiting for somebody to stick "Green" in there. Part of me suspects that they never will.
  10. Most of the characters started referring to Oliver as "The Arrow" very early in the season. I think Det. Lance even started calling him that as early as the second or third episode. EDIT - Did a quick Google search... First reference to Ollie as "The Arrow" was by Detective Lance in the Doll-Maker episode (#3 of this season). Linky... First "Arrow" Reference
  11. I don't think too many people would blame you for that. There's no doubt that it was a very dull show for the first 6-8 episodes. However, it's been getting steadily better, but I think they spent too much time laying the groundwork early in the season and probably lost a lot of their audience.
  12. It probably has a lot to do with the early episode where Lance accused Oliver of being the Hood and Diggle impersonated the Hood to deflect suspicion away. Now that Lance "knows" Oliver isn't the Hood / the Arrow, he doesn't see that connection anymore. Much like how no one in Metropolis can reconcile mild-mannered Clark Kent with Superman despite the fact his "disguise" is a pair of glasses...
  13. Yeah, the first season certainly put too much emphasis on the Oliver's love life, the Laurel-Tommy relationship, and Thea's personal problems. Season 2 seems to be more focused on Oliver's evolution from vigilante to hero.
  14. Nice twist this episode, having the "Island" storyline progress via flashbacks from someone else's perspective... It makes me wonder whether Shadow or Slade will show up as present-day guests so we can watch their flashbacks for a few episodes. I have to admit, I find the Island storyline is often far more engaging than the villain-du-jour plotline.
  15. Very cool. There was someone in the Original Art section a few years back who had a Marvel Value Stamp project going as well. If memory serves, he had a sketch pad laid out exactly like the MVS booklet and was getting artists at conventions to recreate all the stamps. I wish I could find that thread, since I think he was nearly finished at the time...
  16. Kudos to Steve for a great looking ASM#34 from this sales thread: ASM #34 Sales Thread Quick delivery, great communication, safely packaged - an first rate transaction. Thanks! It was a pleasure doing business with you!
  17. Loved the ending. Great plot twists. My call on Season 2...
  18. And in the Easter Egg category... When Thea "inflitrated" the police station looking for info on The Hood, she claimed to be there to acquire information under a warrant signed by Judge Grell.
  19. Finally got around to clearing up the backlog of episodes on my PVR... They've stepped it up since the holiday break. These past few episodes have been great!
  20. Looking forward to that one. Played San Andreas and GTA 4 a lot. I'm also looking forward to this one. Vice City remains my favorite in the franchise, mostly because of the nostalgic 80s setting.
  21. So I just noticed this ASM #10 8.0 that sold on CLink in the past few days... For triple the GPA average ($2,250). Am I missing something, or does someone think it can press to a 9.2 (break even) or better? ASM #10 CGC 8.0 sells for $2250 It really makes the white paged 7.5 I bought last month look like a great deal...
  22. This seems to come up at least once or twice a year. There's been several cases of people getting their registry sets removed when ample proof is provided to the mods. The worst offender I recall was someone who put together a "Top 3" set of X-Men and several other titles He/she was repeatedly stealing numbers from a Board member's active auctions.
