The stat is ok, but you can also hide the blank space behind a mat. Of course if you go the matt rouge, you'd probably have the make the matt the same size all round to make it even, making the overall frame bigger.
Good luck and nice piece! congrats!

$1.00 DOUBLE SIZED ISSUE
Man, those were the days
For a buck - an hour of fun
Simple pleasures like this are gone
Over-priced junk nowadays
It took you an hour to read a double size issue? -
Actually, in some ways, comics are the most expensive form on entertainment these days, $4 for 3-5 minutes, that's almost a buck a minute!

When Spencer updated his site with more Marshall Rogers art, I managed to get 2 Mr. Miracle pages (3rd series). I didn't realize until I got them that they were page 1 and 3 of a 3 page sequence, so when I had the chance, I went back and bought the middle sequence now here they are:
of course now I notice that the next 2 pages are still on his site, heh, I'll grab them next!

wow, sorry to hear that, those are great pages! I hope you put the money to good use!
*Sigh*, these are pieces I USED to own and seriously regret selling when I did. Sorry about the lousy pic, it is all I have left. -
Hey Folks,
I actually first started noticing Dale Keown way back when he worked with Aircel comics, so I'm glad to get some great examples of those early work, a pinup art from Dragonring used for promotion and a page from Dragonforce
Thanks for looking

This isn't really a "new art day" but while taking advantage of CAF's multiple image feature and uploading the published covers to the covers I own, I discovered that a piece that I thought was published only as a pinup was actually a variant cover!! It's almost like an art day!
Not only that, it happens to be a variant cover to one of my favorite books - Alan Moore's Supreme!
Alan Moore's Supreme Issue 41 Variant Cover
Also, fellow collector Brian Peck helped me out again and digitally merged the cover I had to Supreme #50, since it was done on 2 separate boards
Thanks Brian!

I'm sorry - rather new at the original art colelcting - what's a "one minute later"?
I gather it is a commission that reflects what the artist thinks was the next action for the cover, but it seems more technical than that...
Thats exactly what it is.
It is a specific theme by a collector. Some collectors ask for commissions of their favorite character, while "One Minute Later Man" asks artist to imagine what a cover would like 1 minute later.

I thought Eric Powell would draw a great Hulk and now I have one!
Someone beat me to the idea in 2001 but I have it now so that's all that matters!

I just got in the best 3 page Silver Surfer Sequence from Issue 1 by Marshall Rogers!
At least the best 3 page sequence showing very little of silverado!
The 1st page - Surfer Speeds to Rescue Nova
The next 2 pages (DPS) where Surfer Rescues Nova!
The funny thing is, I bought the page as a DPS and it turns out it was split when it was published. Quite a coincidence since I just got the Keown page that is actually 1/2 of a DPS.

Hi Folks,
I normally only collect art from stories I like to read, but sometimes very *ahem* attractive images cause me to buy them:
1. Justice League Europe Sexy Power Girl Splash by Marshall Rogers
2. Silver Surfer by Marshall Rogers with Nova

Hey Folks,
I had a chance to scan a few more pages so I uploaded them to CAF. The theme for this batch is "great reads"
1. An Animal Man page near the end of Grant Morrison's run! Issue 23 with lots of good Animal Man shots
2. It's 2 pages but I'll list it as one, 2 consecutive pages from Peter David's Captain Marvel run, with great splashy art by Leonard Kirk!
Thanks for looking!

I just uploaded another Marshall Rogers Silver Surfer page with a great shot of Silver Surfer! I've said this many times, most people think of Buscema or Lim for Surfer, but Marshall Rogers was the artist when I started reading Surfer so I greatly identify with him.

got a couple of Alan Moore related pages.
1. One is a vintage V sketch - all pencil, and much more detailed than the current ones that you get.
2 A page from Smax - only Alan Moore could come up with a fantasy world that serves mermaids, unicorns and cherubs for dinner (and apparentlly the goose that lays the golden eggs, 3 blind mice, and 3 little pigs)
