35 bucks?? great deal Fay I've never even seen a copy of 83 much less an affordable one! Thanks Karma23, It has really nice inside pages and a real solid feel in your hands and a great second story. (I read last night thanks to AdamStrange ) I think that seller either didn't know the exact value or he was giving me a good deal for buying 300 books or so from him. Half the fun is the hunt and you get lucky every once in while.

That GIC 80 looks so realistic it could be an old photograph, especially the around nearest plane. I have a Mid grade copy of that GIC 97 and love that cover by Russ Heath. Thanks for sharing a few more with us Shep. Fay

I got so lucky on that #83 as I was buying the balance of an e-bayer sellers' collection of SA/BA super-hero books because he was sick of e-bay and all the work. Near the end of the shipments which he did monthly over about eight months because I made monthly payments, we were discussing what else he had left and war books came up. On the last shipment he asked me if I liked war books and he e-mailed off a list and #83 was on there for 35.00.

Hello, I know this isn't a very nice copy but I was hoping after Shep, Mick, Andy AdamStrange or Jeffro see this, they will start posting more of their awesome DC war books. Maybe a higher grade copy of this issue. I'm sorry still no scanner and I can't stop buying comics long enough to save up enough scratch for one. I sure got a great deal on the # 83.

To any or all DC war collectors I was wondering if any of you have ever bought from an e-bay seller with the ID of "Brettscomics" and his grading looks okay with the scans a little small. I asked once for larger scans of a couple of books and they weren't much bigger when they were e-mailed to me. His grading looks reasonable although his prices are fairly high and all 'buy it nows" If any one has any information I would really appreciate it. How far back did the run go? Some of my very favorite issues from this title are the pre-#81 books. Here are a few of my faves (all, ridiculously hard to find in grade). Nice books Shep. Love that # 56!!

Those are simply outstanding books and that AAMOW #94 is a KILLER cover!!! I only recently seen this book in a board members' WTB post and can't get it out of my mind. I need one badly!!!!
