Gary is a super nice guy and a very reliable seller. (thumbs u
Thank you very much for the awesome freebie.
-
Thanks Guys.
When I started collecting seven years ago I thought I might buy
a VG copy of HULK 181 one day and these boards have helped
me see the lite.

What a great week it's turning out to be and this baby arrived today.
A few from last week.
A Mass Pedigree
-
Awesome group shot of all those Beautiful Mass copies Bomber-Bob and
the books you posted SS or Peter are pretty sweet too.
I only started a few months ago and I'm trying to collect one HG raw book
from each major SA/BA Pedigree collection and here are the few I've
collected so far. I love the history behind these Pedigree books and to me
the books seem more special.
A Mass Pedigree in about 9.2/9.4 condition.
A few Oakland books I purchased from board member tkg326 and if
you guys and gals get a chance to buy from Vince I would highly recommend
him as a seller. I've purchased several books from him problem free and his
grading always seems under graded to me. (thumbs u
One slab I couldn't pass up for the price.
A Don Rosa which I know isn't really a Pedigree but still has some history.
From the Dallas Stephens collection and another book not really a Pedigree.
A Beauty from the Northland Pedigree collection.
I only started this project a few months ago and I've got a long ways to go
and if any board members have any Pedigree books in raw VF+ or better
condition that you don't mind parting with, please send me a PM and I will
pay FMV.
Thank you,
fay

Hope everyone is doing good...I haven't logged in here for several months.

It's great to see you around these parts again.
I hope all is well with you.

"The Silent Ones" is another great Kubert to add to your excellent recommendations. (thumbs u
Excellent idea Marc and thanks for everyone's input so far. (thumbs u
Is there anyway I could ask you guys to list the title and the issue
number for a noob like me.
I know Bill977
is mainly a raw collector and reader with
tons of experience in this genre and I would love to hear some of your favorites.
Here's a book I recently picked up off my favorite E-bay seller and can
hardly wait to read this baby.
-
A few stories that stick out for me are " What's the price of a B-17" from
OAAW 79 and I really enjoyed "Blood is the Code" from SSWS 160 where
the Unknown Soldier intentionally gets captured by the Japanese and has
a battle of mind games with the Commander of the prison camp.
There are so many more I can't remember right now and the story Shep
mentioned from OAAW 196 was awesome and I enjoyed most of the
stories from the OAAW run from 181 to 260 with a few exceptions. Russ
Heath drew some fantastic inside art during that part of the run and when
you add a few U.S.S. Stephens stories those books are hard to beat IMO.
Many of the Enemy Ace stories were fantastic from SSWS.
Keep them coming guys.

I think that's a great idea Marc and I would start the thread right here to
get the most exposure to war collectors. I don't know about the "cool"
people and we are geeks and proud of it.
Well maybe not Richard.
A good friend sent me some Dell Combat war books and I thought the
stories were awesome and the inside art was very good. Any thread
where I can learn about some great stories from any comic company
would be excellent. The only problem would be a growing want list that's
enormous already.
I'm sure Mick, Shep, Jeffro, Andy, Buttock and many others would enjoy it
and have lots of input with all their experience in this genre.
Good Luck!!
-
I don't own many horror books and when I seen this incredible cover
in a Foolkiller's sales thread I had to have it.
After reading this one I read my other two Phantom Stranger books and
those stories were awesome and I've found another title to collect.
Thanks Brian!!
-
WOW!!!!
Beautiful books Shep! You have most of my favorite part of the
OAAW run posted and I just love those books from issue 181 to 263. Russ
Heath was on fire IMO with his inside art.
I received a package yesterday and another one today and it's been a
great month for BA DC War for me.
A few more Oaklands and raw just the way I like them.
Thanks to Vince for the great Oakland books.
Don Rosa Collection

Very nice Sgt Fury book and it looks like it has awesome colors.
Shep and Jeff,
Wow , some great Atlas war books and I think I need everyone you guys
posted and I agree they are total crapola and I don't need anymore
competition.
You are the master of the sweet deal on e-bay Shep and I don't know
how you consistently grab these great deals. That book is incredible and
the price is even better. You must have a great eye for books from the
small scans we see many times on e-bay.
-
Thanks for the compliments guys and I agree this book is part of an awesome
story arc and of couse a classic cover. The first book I sold on these boards
was my CGC 9.2 ASM 33 to Nerf and to finally replace it with a 9.4 that looks
like a 9.6 to me four years later is pretty exciting and I couldn't be happier.
Thanks again Adam!!

Awesome books Richard.
I'm really starting to love these Atlas War books with Russ Heath covers.
If only Dan or Buttock would have a big selling thread one day.
I don't have anything you'd want...
That's a SWEET Mens Advs! Took me quite a while to find a decent copy of that one. And I LOVE that cover.
Dan, I can think of one book for sure I would love to take off your hands for a
price of course. I love this cover and I borrowed the scan when you originally
posted this Beauty.
I would love to see your Atlas collection.
I've heard from a few war collectors that they're on the hunt for more of these
classic Atlas War books or wished they purchased a bunch when they were
more plentiful in higher grades for better prices. DC War is still my first love
and these Atlas books are a close second.
One day you'll get sick of that Navy Action 2 and you know how to reach me.
Does anyone know how big some of these print runs were on these Atlas
War books because finding any in VF or better is pretty tough IMO.
EDIT: Hey this was my 3000th post and I thought I read in the forum
rules somewhere that a seller has to grant one wish to another forum member
when they hit that magic number.

My second favorite Spidey book of the SA run arrived this week thanks to
Adam or Filter81.
-
Great books guys and gals. That Superboy 1 is pretty sweet and so is that
USA Comics 10.
These books are more like these last few weeks in your collection.
-
Russ Heath's finest Splash page IMO.
Wow! Did you buy that?
I got the scan for free and I have a printed version from our fancy copyier,
scanner and printer at work.
I would love to see what this piece of
OA would go for in an auction format? Any predictions you guys?
thanks...there are some killer books in my DC war sets.nice book and even nicer cat (thumbs u
Thanks Nick. (thumbs u
-
Wow, nice books Nick. You weren't kidding about having some nice DC War
books and that WWT is incredible. Yours is pretty sweet too Jeff.
I picked up this beauty last Saturday and got it for 39.00 off e-bay.
Of course Wally has to interfere whenever I play with my books.
-
I tried out buying from Ted at Superworld again and I think his grading
was really close. The first book is my favorite BA OAAW issue and this
is by far the nicest one I've owned. I sold my CGC 9.4, which I regret.
Russ Heath's finest Splash page IMO.
These might belong in the SA War section and I'm slowly picking up an
issue every once in a while. Most of the books have Sam Glanzman inside
art and the stories are based on actual battles during World War Two and
the odd one from the first World War. None of these are near HG.

:applause:
IMO one of top five sellers on the boards and this gentleman knows
how to grade.
Awesome communication, fast shipping and great packaging on
very strictly graded books. What more could a buyer ask for?
Thanks again for a great transaction!!

Two Beautiful strictly graded Spideys arrived in record time packaged
very well. Another excellent seller and I would recommend Christian to
any buyer on the boards. (thumbs u
Thanks again for the sweet books!!

Canada Post came through with flying colors and I can't thank our good
buddy Andy enough for these awesome books and I am one happy
collector right now. (thumbs u
Here are some books that arrived and I love them all.
Wow! You really went to town! I'm surprised you could even lift a package of that size.
(thumbs u
Our post office is only a couple of blocks away and I hate to admit
I had to stop a couple of times to take a breather.
Thanks for the compliments on my new books guys. (thumbs u

Another awesome transaction completed today when a bullet proof
package of 12 slabs and 8 strictly graded beautiful books arrived.
Great communication and was a pleasure to deal with as usual and
I think this is our seventh transaction buying and selling together.
Thanks again for everything!!

Did any of you see this baby on e-bay auctioned for 372.00 last Sunday?
Love this cover and wish I had the cash at the time.
