Here is my contribution to Heroic Comics
-
Maybe I need to get me one of them. I do like that cover as it is soooo different from the earlier Caps. And I like Sci-Fi. Unfortunatly, they propably won't be for sale for quite a while, but I would say its a good time to start the Adam Strange pedigree collection, fill in the blanks its fun and will bring a smile to your face. -Paul

In the Shadow of the Atomic Age
mr.schomburg replied to adamstrange's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
is it just me or does YC look like Cuba Gooding Jr. in this cover? More like Ice T -
I agree, it a cool transition cover and story line. The first 47 issues were pretty much ghools and war, then crime and the underground, till 69, at 70 kind of a si fi cover, 71 throw back, and then horror type covers until the end. Then of course the Commi smasher trilogy. I feel like it followed the times, early 50's si fi and horror.

Silver Surfer, thank you! Wonderful packing and very happy with book! Good luck with MM9 There are some crazy's out there, that book is out of controll, but I hope you win, you deserve it.--Paul Courtesy of the Surfer! The newest addition to the low to mid-grade Big Paulie Pedigree collection, in the wet land of Oregon Note to reader: This collection is highly known for its wide varity of tears, abrasions, cuts, and general wear. With off-white to cream pages, and slight odor of acidic paper. One can tell this collection apart from others, by its look of being read and enjoyed during its life, and proud proud smile of the current owners face

Cool all winners, lets start a new thread. Books with Bonnets used books stamp, I must have 4 or 5 of those.Ha Ha! OK, OK... I know It says Aurther S., It was a typo in the system. They of course have offered to correct it no charge. I have three unique books with the same mistake. Maybe it make'em worth more. All before that batch, and all after are correct. I am glad you guys are enjoying them. -Paul Ok, Here is Sunday morning Brunch! Have a Crispy Cream and enjoy, Don't worry they are slabbed, drip away.

My sentiments exactly... first time i have seen PGX restored slabs.. are you thinking of cracking them, or maybe get them CGC'ed instead? (excuse my brainwashed question ) I had not considered regrading them, I really only had them entombed for protection. I consider myself to be a very strict grader, so on a few issues, I would say a little tight but overall I think they have been real accurate. The Young A. book with M P does have a little red felt pen action(def amt.) but also some professional work. I hope you still enjoy them even though they are not CGC, Comics are still comics. not only do i enjoy them my friend, i envy them I was asking since i crack all CGC'ed golden age i have bought, even in the 9.0-9.2 range, and i so i assumed since they are midgrade you kept them slabbed for liquity and possible resale reasons, which didnt make much sense in a PGX slab, given the "sligth" market favouring of CGC. Offcause if you sent them in yourselfes you would allready have had that experiecence. Keep them coming I know if i had them my cracking fingers would itch for holding the raw beautiful pages in my steady hands I actually did slab them all, I really prefer the holer for safety, I have in fact broke all that came in CGC and put in other, all but one graded the same by the way, The one that didn't I thought was undergraded, and so did seller. Guess what it was came back a 7 from a 6.5.

More to the point, Timely's are for girls S. Then I'd better put on a dress, cause I'll take the caps all day long!
