  3. Unreal! Sweet super hard to find, let alone in grade Action! Cheers and thanks for sharing. Keep them coming, preferable in this thread so I don't have hunt down your scans. Great collection of books, even if you stoped now, which I am sure you wont as you are hopefully addicted to the boards and will post many, many, many more. Paul
  4. Thanks everyone, actually Tax Refund Timely's is more accurate. This is the 2nd year I used some of my refund to pick up a few Timely's.I got the fever, and the only prescription is more Timely's!....... I am thinking Timely tax refund, as in just in time to make the payment arrangement! Ha! Ha!
  5. Bill, I will be posting before and after pics. I think it takes a while to get the work done, but I think it will be worth it. Paul
  6. Bloom away, great books, nice condition. Looking forward to your next postings.
  7. Loved this cover so much after seeing it today, went of Ebay and found the only one and used BIN, book is on the way. Thank you for sharing, can't wait to see it. Paul
  8. Squidmo, Sweet books. I have both and they are great issues. Nice Tuesday!
  9. My first GA Subby/Torch Battle Book! Will be the first book I have restored as well. I won this book off Clink today. I figure if a book is to be resto'd this is a good one as the cover is in two pieces. Still had to pay G 2.0 price for it, but I am tickled just the same.
  10. the cage books had two mc 1's; i think the other was an october 5.0. i don't think either had ow/w pages, which i really love about mine. thanks again Paul. I think Stephen mentioned that this sold recently. The October copy is my grail of grails and I think the asking price was $80,000. Hey Billy just curious if you would have traded your copy for the October version? I don't think I have ever seen another October print before. Looks like this copy has a little SCS on top right corner.
  11. Incredible! Simply and completely incredible! After reading your post, I felt like I had been brought to your interview. Thank you for taking the time to write that interview up and share it with us. I never really new much about Fessel until I joined these boards, just hadn't been exposed. I have to say it was enlightening to read about his memories of 60 yrs ago and how lucid he is and passionate about drawing today, even at 95. He seems like the all american grandpa, with stories and a life of passion to share for anyone who will take the time to listen. It will be a shame when these incredible artist of the past are no longer with us, it really would be wonderful to hear more about his memories of his work in comics. I sincerely enjoyed your write up and thank you once again. What a cheerished memory this will be for you for many years. Paul
  12. Nothing quite like a Hot Poker to the eye to start the day off.
  13. I noticed there is a 6.0 copy the Nic Cage copy on CLink right now. I have to say, that yours is superior in cover appearance which all that I have to go off of. Given the two as option, I would take yours at the same price. Not that I can afford to drop 80K on one, but If I could, it would be yours. Real nice book, it presents very well, and well its Marvel Comics 1 really don't have to say more than that.
  14. Bill, in the immortal word of Bill Shattner, WHAT pause:...An Amazing Pause; Collection pause: You..Pause:, Should..Pause: Be pause: Thrilled: To Have Such...Pause: Books..Pause. Spock, move it I want the Blonde! Great Shot Paul
  15. and one more, that just went up on the m.m. pedigree thread. You are on a serious roll my friend. Amazing books! MM 1 is a super grail.
  16. I don't know if there is a GA Crime thread, so I am going to post these here! I will post some more in the next few weeks.
  17. Nah! I am all over the place. Timely's really get me H..rd, but I like 50's Horror, Early DC Superhero and pre hero, Silver age Marvel and DC, Love Crime books from 40's and 50's. I don't have a lot of non-timely gold comics..Maybe 200-300 various books OHH! and I love 50's Sci-fi books, and anything Matt Baker, or Fieldstien.
  18. Here are couple old Tracy's I pulled out. Forgot I even had them, I remember buying them from my LCS back in like '81 or so. They have a light sub. crease, but pages are bone white and color is vibrant! Not terribly important books, but fun and cool to see in such bright color and page quality. Paul
  19. Rick, Sweet book! Love it! Congrats on your new purchase, and happy all went well with Pop's! Paul
  20. I'll throw a couple in for measure! Including an early Zombie cover!
