  1. West, I have said this before, but after spending 3 days of drooling over this entire thread start to finish, I have to say.......Your books rock! Along with all of the others who have shared and posted. I can't believe how many high grade timely super hero books you have, hell to have them at all let alone in high grade. I have looked through many times since joining the boards, but never took the time to check out all posts on this thread, I am still in shock! Between you PT, Billy P, Mr. Bedrock, and few others there is enough high grade to match the gross national product of a small 3rd world country. Thank you for starting my favorite thread, and sharing your passion of Timely's, one which I share. Paul
  2. It would be amazing! I am sure. So I am starting to think that everything I ever thought about GA comics is wrong. I was reading the Tom R. thread, I think there are some amazing books out there tucked away in collections, and we may not see these for another 10-20 yrs depending on how long some of these collectors live. I think there may well be many more copies of some of these books out there, but they arn't and will not be for sale for a while. Paul
  3. Now, why did I know that Peter would be chimming in as soon as I saw this book pop up! It is a nice one! Also I gotta say Mr. Bedrock, nice books keep them coming Paul
  4. Holly Hanna! What a superb copy, thank you for sharing the book and history. Paul
  5. Thanks to that shot, I now have to clean my computor screen. Are there any timely's you don't have yet mr. parker?
  6. yes you do, my astute friend; including my favorite cover of the run: [/img] Now, let me channel the Fish.. If you only had a Tec 29 to throw in the middle of them! How 'bout this: [/img] Coolj, I gotta say, Wow! Thats amazing, we need a dog panting gremlin or a drooling one! I am not a DC guy, but those, those are beeeeautifulllllllllllll!
  7. Hey, Rick if ya gotta follow someone, ya can't beat Parker's books. I don't think anyone would consider these as being slouchy, Nice books! Paul
  8. Billy, Very nice, just had those lying around I bet. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
  9. Speaking of fantastic covers....this "pair of blue jeans" arrived today.. YOWZA! ...I guess we know what the "big" purchase was, huh? Thanks Rick! But, no, this isn't the BIG purchase. That will have to wait until a week from Saturday. I am on pins and needles so I needed something to tide me over.... to 99.9% of collectors, a Cap 1 is the BIG purchase...my money is on either an Action 1, a Detective 27, an All American 16 or Millie the Model #70.... It is definitely one of your four choices Awsome book Bill! I am so jealous, but really happy for you. Such a nice copy! Be sure to let Rick know that I know but I am not telling what the big book is! Oh and if you ever need a sitter for that baby, I got some free space and time to watch it for you. Paul
  10. You know what is a shame, not that it makes your book unworhty(I would still take it in a New York minute) Is the color I can see, really didn't improve the books appearance, and would have looked as good or better with out it.
