  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you, .....Oops I suddenly feel like Dorthy from the Wizard of OZ! Looking forward to seeing them. I honestly can say, I never dreamed of anyone owning a collection like yours. You hear stories from time to time, my uncle or this friend, or a friend of a friend has...., but to see such a thing is pure beauty. Only marked by the fact I can afford such a treasured collection, and if I could I am not sure you could find so many keys available in grade. I bet it has been a crazy week for you on the Boards, albeit fun! Glad you are here, and sharing your passion with us!
  2. Hey Bang, Again nice books, I know we have asked, but if it is not to much trouble could you pop a timely on, or a group shot of some. Thanks for taking the time to share with us, love your collection. Paul
  3. I guess this book could go either in this thread or the good girl thread. Great cover won it on Clink last week!
  4. When I get the other cover and assess if they will marry well. I would then be more than happy to give you the other cover. If you want it anyway, you are more than welcome to have it. Paul
  5. Well, I got my HT 8 from Clink today! Now I just have to wait for the cover from Koko which is to be in nicer condition. Without further addu! Mind you the shear lack of condition may hurt your eyes after what has been shown lately, between Bangzoom and mr. bed.
  6. ok, but it's BYOB. Can I come with Rick, I'll bring a keg, and a bucket of popey's chicken. Amazing, nothing else I can say!
  7. well, I would naturally have to do a backgroud check, and I would want to make sure your son is willing to share his lunch money, but hey, let the kids be kids rick He had a record at two, got caught stealing a cookie! He talked to the Judge(mom) and she expunged his record. He loves to share, just recently shared a cold with me and his brother.
  8. Sweet rare jumbo! Walt Kelly anyone? Picked this up at the LCS the other day, always liked the character, has a few flaws, but bone whit pages and real solid.
  9. So your saying, its possible for our two collections to merge at somepoint, and by that logic, I now am part owner in a Tec27. I'll tell my oldest (3) he has a girlfriend!
  10. Thanks guys, they are my pride and joy! Just so we are clear the KIds, not the comic.
  11. Thanks Bill, Better hide your daughter, my boys are going to be lady killers! In about 15 yrs!
  12. "...SUCH STUFF AS DREAMS ARE MADE ON" Shakespeare's The Tempest Amazing story and outstanding books, Bangzoom! Thanks for sharing... GE You are so right Gino! Bang Zoom's books will be filling my dreams for the next few nights to be sure. I got excited just looking at that picture, and began imagining the lovely smell that must permeate that room and how much fun it would be to go through those stacks. I had a similar feeling with a couple of the collections I found years ago, but none of them were of this apparent magnitude. But I thought Bang Zoom might like to see a picture of some of those books anyway.. Blame the hotel.. I can only say one thing about this display of books, but my 3 yr old said best..... Daaad, do you see it, do you see all those comics! WoW! Where is Captain America? Can the nice men show some Captain America comics?
  13. Just wondering if your collection would have any Timely books since this is about the only major publisher which we have not seen so far? Yes. Sweet Jesus, thank you. I have been praying for Timely's and there are! I just had to take my blood pres. meds. (Insert jiggy dancing graemlins here) I will be waiting for your postings with great anticipation. Amazing collection of books, I am really amazed you were able to drop 7500.00 back in '73, you must have gotten a fair amount of *spoon* for that at the time. I can imagine what your family and friends thought, well I am sure by now they have swallowed their pride and realized what a savy investor you were. Obviously you did it more for the love of the books, than the investment or you would have sold many years ago, but still wise move and very good for us. That photo alone is worth a million bucks! Thank you for sharing it, most of us could not imagine having a collection like this. Maily because times have changed and the cost would be more than most make in 10 yrs. So it is very special to see this as it in my opinion is a once and a lifetime chance, to see high grade rare books in on swoop. So once again thank you for taking the time to share with us. Humbly waiting on your next post. Paul Just a note, my wife had to hit me with 220 after seeing that pic and after a good 10 min. in which she thought I had gone vegitative, I finally recovered enough to breeth again on my own.
  14. I'll sell you a NM copy for 5 bucks, I got like 20 or so! PM me!
  15. Bang, I have really enjoyed your posts, thank you for sharing your thoughts, collection, and history. Paul
  16. There is good possibility all of our pandering and whinning, and show or don't show has run off this guy.
  17. I was going to ask about that and Batman #1 (especially considering the common theory of the later the books are, the better the condition). But I'll refrain from More Fun #52 - that's been done to death. I'm kinda surprised no Timely guys are going nuts over a possible Marvel #1 or Cap #1. "Jeez, Bangboom...You got half the boards or more scuttling around like crack whores looking for our next fix. Come on baby make us right, give us the good stuff, we need it paleeeease! Just a little taste of the early Tec's, maybe a Timely or two, I just need a little, I got ta get right man." Timely Geek present and accounted for! I posted that two or three days ago! BangZoom, just incredible books, I emplore you to keep sharing, I like pretty covers, and this it why I love these boards. Right now you are the "Michael Jordon" of these here boards. I say you have fun and share your awsome books, and I will have fun looking at them. And by the way, Thank you!!!!!! Know I have arrived, I finally got one of these from Bill. Its my understanding, that it means you are a real member in this geeky little club I seam to be obsessed with.
  18. Stevo, sweet book! Hard to get anyone to look at anything other than BangZoom's thread lately, but I like what your showing. Nice pick up! Paul
  19. Peter, Peter, man that is a sweet copy of 89,or is it 88? Those quirky Candien's!

Paul Just Quoted myself, man am I a dweeb! Ok, so here is my copy came in the mail today, along with a couple other EC's, not ness. Horror, but EC's are all a little twisted. Enjoy!
