  1. Thanks Billy P., I enjoy showing it off, as it was a big grail for me, and to have one in such nice shape and one I purchased for a song and a dance makes that much more sweet. Paul
  2. Mr. B, you have just stunning books, I can't believe the quality of Timely's you keep posting. Thank you and well done!
  3. 16 as soon as it is slabbed. I sold the White Mountain 74 two years ago. I now have very few Timelys after 1944. That is a gorgeous copy, 6.0 if my memory serves me correct? Yes, and killer pages. It had a tiny little chip on the bottom right corner of the front cover. That was one of the toughest decisions! I am sure that I have posted this many times, but its very nice.....Not White Mt.,but still a real nice 6.0 and one of the better known copies to exist. I have seen a most and I think mine is better than most.
  4. Thanks Mr. B, I just love the scale and use of color on 130..but it is Russ Heath so you know its gonna be good. 134, just has color palet that draws you to the cover and makes you stare.
  5. IS the best Frazetta cover ever. Thanks, I agree 100%!! I just wish it had the original cover color unbleached by sun, that circle of bright orange is where the sales sticker at the Comic shop was on the mylar. This baby was in the sun too, long!
  6. Hi Paul, Here's a scan of my # 26. Thanks BZ, one of my favorites. I know you are not selling, but if you ever choose to release a few, would you keep me in mind for this book or any other caps. Just awsome, and thanks for taking the time to show it. I am drooling! I love this book! Paul
  7. BZ, Do you happen to have a Cap. 46, 47, and a 26...I have seen all of the above before, but I would love to see some high grade unslabbed versions if you have and care to share. Incredible books once again! Paul
  8. Thanks Mr. B, I just love the Russ H. cover on 130, and 134 is also one of my fav. in the run. I only have a couple others in the run, but they are beat to "spoon"! I plan on aquiring more, but my timely habit is pretty bad. The color on some Marvel Tales is just awsome, it really draws you in, and makes you take a second look at the cover..and then you see all of detail which at first glance doesn't appear. Paul
  9. Another truly "wow" part to me is that he never paid more than $55 for any of his books. Even more so, is the 1000 comic collection we have been mesmorized by was purchased @ 7.50 per book. Which is even more wow! Oh, how much did you spend on a VF or better AA 16......$7.50, Adventure 40....$7.50, Amazing! And once again Bang thank you for sharing!
  10. I love this cover and just picked it up, real clean copy easy VG+, but has a faded cover, back is perfect and bright, pages are off-white to white, bummer. Never seen one in high grade, but it will do till I find one. With out further adu, maybe the best FRAZETTA Cover ever!
  11. There might, but some one might have already bought it! Namely me! Congrats, might this mean there's an under-undercopy available? Not unless I can pry the copy Surfer just bought from his hands! I will however keep in mind you have interest should I get a better copy someday!
  12. The Torch looks awesome! Might this mean there's an undercopy available? There might, but some one might have already bought it! Namely me!
  13. I haven't chimed in yet regarding your collection, but it's absolutely amazing!! Thanks for sharing these books with all of us - we're not worthy! Could that white on the top boarder of Crash be any whiter, I am definately taking all of my books out of Mylar and placing them in old plastice bags, it seems to work for Bang!
  14. Its my understanding the Steve G, has purple shag carpet in his comic room, not burnt orange(not that there is anything wrong with that)
  15. Sweet Mother Mary, and Baby Jesus!!!! Thanks Bang, amazing as usuall! I can die happy, Wow!
  16. Wonderful book OG!!! Frazetta, say it with me boys...Frazetta, just sounds good, and always looks even better. I really need to buy this run of Famous Fun. The covers are just stunning, that guy was a pure genius and I wish he did some Timely's..Can you imagine a Frazetta Cap! Well its friday, and after a long hard day on the boards getting absolutely nothing done at work, I am going home! I sure hope something came in the mail, like maybe a Frazetta cover, that and a beer would sure make me feel like I had a productive day.
  17. I can't get over these photos... just incredible. I think I like this one better than the first!! What an absolute dream to have a room like that one ... What a beautiful picture. Love your Wonder & Wonderworld comics, being a Fox collector . Your collection is amazing , show us more ,please. That does it, I am removing all of my comics from mylar and boxes. I then will place them in 30 yr old poly plastic bags and stack them in a dark room. It appears this is possably the best way to store comics to retain gloss, color, and page quality. Damn those experts, all of that money for Mylar's and it appears you don't need em.
  18. Me too, thank you, I am fond of them as well. I love this thread, I wish more books would show up on it. Paul
  19. Thanks, and yes Bang's books...hey I like the sound of that! Well they are truely awsome. Good night Bang, and Mr. B... I know that Mr B and Mr. S will be dreaming Timely's tonight..in particular yours Bang. Night All!
  20. Thanks, BangZ....as to Mr. Bedrock...Its only 11:46 here on the West Coast, I am assuming either Bang is on the West side or has insomnia. I myself am just about finished for tonight, and by the way Mr. B, fantastic books you have been posting.
  21. I was curious, your collection is quite larger than approx. 1000 books from the collection you bought in '73. Are all of those DC superhero books and keys from that same collection or are we seeing a lifetime of collecting? If so when did you start collecting and what age were you? If you don't mind sharing. I enjoy the process of this hobby as much as the art and aquisition, in fact the challange is probably what has kept me collecting on and off for 25+ yrs. I have a million more questions, but I will defer to later and give you a minute to decide if you want to answer all of my prying questions. Thanks Paul
  22. I keep trying to keep this thread alive, love this genra of books. Come on people share with us. Just arrived from Cliink today!
