  1. (thumbs u By the way, it was nice meeting you last weekend!
  2. Here is a group of GA that I picked up in the last few days. The 4 comics on the bottom row were a walk-in to my friends flea-market booth and he flipped them to me. The middle row were walk-ins to the Megacon show this past weekend and the top row were from dealers at the same show. I find that the time I spend in the GA forum has made it very difficult to focus on completing my silver-age runs.
  3. Happy 1000th, Flee. I just noticed today is my 1 year anniversary on the boards. I can't wait to tell my wife, she'll be so proud. Thanks! and Happy Anniversary to you. We both signed up about the same time and I guess we are now officially no longer noobs.
  4. Congratulations GACollectibles!! Also my 1000th post! I was going to do something special but I guess I kinda blew it.
  5. Anyway.... this image came from what comic cover?
  6. Pud Wither's Tavern? Let's pray that is the answer. I wish. In fact, I wish I were at Pud Wither's Tavern right now -- but that's not where you go to buy pomanay extract. I'll try to write a replacement question tonight, but Real Life is hoppin' today. Someone else is welcome to jump in (with a question that doesn't involve anything published after 1970). Jack 123 Little College St?
  7. ... Something different -- maybe we can attract some young'uns. At what address did Jaka purchase pomanay extract? Jack Pud Wither's Tavern?
  8. The "CRIMES" font was a standard Poster font that I made 3 dimensional and then drew in the cracks. I did this cover fairly quickly because I assumed that it would be taken as a joke. I knew that the pulp guys like BZ would recognize the image. The story about the missing Ajax/Farrell issue #15 coupled with Buck saying he saw one must have given this ruse some believability. If I had more time, I would have come up with an original image in the style of Don Heck.
  9. Congratulations! The skull was going to be the next clue.
  10. Here's another image from the cover. And another... Planet Comics #65
  11. Sorry I'm late. Here we go...... This image is from the cover of what comic?
  12. I would only count: Bob Hope, Uncle Milty, maybe Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis and I don't think Pinky Lee, Lucy or Soupy Sales would qualify since they are more TV personalities than radio and Abbott and Costello are movie personalities and of course Alan Ladd is drama. So let's say you've got 3 so far (thumbs u I know of at least 4 more ... Lucille Ball had a popular radio show called "My Favorite Husband" which was later developed into "I Love Lucy" for television. I remember listening to it as a child on Sunday nights on a military base in Japan in a quonset hut, in the 60's with a transistor radio hidden under my pillow because it was past my bedtime. How's that for a run-on sentence?
