It is painful how accurate this is.

I got my Lee, Sinclair and Williams books back and am quite happy with them. I know a lot of people weren't fans of the logo signatures from Sinclair and Williams but I think they look really nice on the books. They look like little remarques. The Beast sketch is absolutely amazing.

I put instructions in my posting for the user to send me a note in their ebay purchase with their user name in the app and for them to send me the trade for the cards that they want. All I have to do then is review the sale in ebay and match up the trade in the app with the username and accept. I have been selling cards for a little over a month now and it has been a steady flow of sales.

I posted this in the card trader section to see if anyone else is doing it but didn't get a response. Anyone else use the cards trader apps to get free cards? Apparently people are willing to pay you for the free cards if you have been using the app for a while and built up a collection. I am curious to see how long the sales can continue and if it is possible to flip the money for an actual key comic. I really don't understand why people would pay for these but more than happy to keep selling them $1.50 at a time.

Does nobody else use these digital card trader apps? I started selling these free cards out of curiosity a month ago and I'm quite amazed at what it has yielded. $400 in sales for the first month for something that cost me nothing and is free daily. I started stashing the money in a separate account and now I am curious to see if the sales continue and I can flip this money into an actual key comic book.

What books are on your list to choose from? I'm thinking of Detective 576-578, ASM 298-300 and Hulk 340 but that is 7 books as well and quite pricey once you total it up.

I have specified the colour and been accommodated most of the time. The last Jim Lee signatures were done in silver as asked. The last Chris Claremont books I had signed were all done in the colour specified except for one book that looks like he signed with a regular pen for some strange reason. I would advise you to be specific on not only the colour but the location of the signature.

Where in the world was the Quality Control at CGC???
LudaToke replied to Wally's Comics's topic in Comics General
I just got back a book from CGC and I am wondering if it should/qualifies for a re-holder. The book in question is a Catwoman 80th anniversary special which happens to be a 100 page comic. I haven't ever had a larger size comic slabbed before so I am a bit unsure if this is a problem or the way it is supposed to be. When I turn the slab, I can feel the interior holder and book move every so slightly back and forth. Is this they way slabs are designed for larger size books and normal or does this qualify for a re-holder? -
The artist had all of them available as prints and T-Shirts. The homage of the classic covers blended with Hip Hop is perfect.

What's your progress on 2022 CGC signings?

Damn, speak of the devil and my comics have shipped. That was really fast considering the submission deadline was at the end of July. -

Mine just moved to Grading/Quality control. These books are moving very fast through the system. -
Yikes that is terrible. I wonder what went wrong with the execution because when I was there for the Stranger Things people it looked like they were doing timed slots with Hunnam as well. I always go to this show for the full 4 days and still feel I can't get everything done that I want. Thursday and Friday are the days I go with my Girlfriend and they are far less busy than the weekend so it is nice. We then take our Kids on Saturday for a family day of fun but the Saturday is always insane. My kids enjoy the action packed craziness and all the costumes. My girlfriend and I then head back on Sunday for cleanup and anything else we missed.

I took my kids to see Joseph Quinn and Finn Wolfhard. Both of these had specific groupings with specific times to show up. I showed up 10 minutes before my time and waited less than 30 minutes. It felt way more organized than previous years which was simply have the entire group show up at the same time and then first come, first serve. They moved the people through with great efficiency IMO.
-
Some additional pickups from the last day of the show. The Hip Hop and comic homages from Beddo Art were definitely my favorites. My kids loved meeting Joseph Quinn and Finn Wolfhard. They have grown up with Stranger Things as a TV show and it was a big deal for them. Such a great 4 days.

Show us what you got, put your cards on the table lol. I am just getting home from the first full day and it was really good. Today was about picking up a few cheap books to read and some art to freshen up the house. Looking forward to heading back tomorrow and then again on Saturday with my girlfriend and our kids.

Yeah that irks me. All the other signatures look great and that one just disappears into the cover. It makes no sense.

That is a really nice Amazing Adventures #15. Beast is my favorite. I have a decent raw copy as well but I don't think it will score a 9.6. Well done.

Only one week away now. Who's going? What are you looking/excited to see?

Moderns that are heating up on ebay!
LudaToke replied to thirdgreenham's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
From what I read, they were sent to shops as a preview depending on the volume of books that they regularly order. I also read another article that said it was limited to 12K copies. I could be wrong though. -

Looks like these are starting to sell well on Ebay. I was in a store and surprised to see 2 of them on the shelf. I asked the attendant how much they were and she said $1 as the cover suggested. When she went to ring me up, she couldn't find them registered in her system and said since they were a free giveaway to the store, I could just have them. Sounded like a good deal
