  1. I was at FanExpo Canada on the weekend in Toronto. I was sitting outside at the end of the day and just by chance, CGC was was taking out the comic and card submission from the convention. I turned on my camera and almost caught a box falling off their cart at the 33 second mark LOL. Close call CGC - Near Box Fall at 33 Seconds
  2. Love this cover so very happy to have found it in a 9.8
  3. Happy to add a high grade copy of this book to my collection:
  4. Thanks for putting this together. I had no clue that the list was this extensive for the Page Punchers line. Based on the list I can see that I have Wave 1 which now feels underwhelming
  5. There was an episode of Comic Book Men where they went to Geppi's Entertainment Museum and Walt asked and got to sniff an Action Comics #1. That must have been nice.
  6. Happy to pick this up and at it to my turtles collection:
  7. There are 3 that require the McFarlane labels. There were originally 11 books sent in for ME because they holders were loose and moving around on inside of the slab. These 11 books still need to be fixed. The labels on the remaining 8 books should remain unchanged and left as is.
  8. I just heard back from CGC customer service and they won't be able to fix the labels and add the custom Todd McFarlane labels back in because they were only for a limited time. The worst part is that I still need to send the 11 books back for the original re-holder process and 3 of those still have the Todd McFarlane labels in place. Do I risk it and send them back and cross my fingers they don't come back with X-Men labels? This is a process of diminishing returns at this point. Ridiculous.
  9. I just got 11 books back from reholder service and all 11 weren't fixed. On top of that, They took out the Todd McFarlane and Spawn custom labels I had and replaced them with an odd Spider-Man and Spawn pairing. The reholder and QC process is actually introducing new errors while completely ignoring the original. The clock is ticking and I have 2 weeks to solve this problem which is crazy because the books are now worse off than when I started. I have little faith that CGC can actually fix all 11 books in one single submission and I suspect I will be at this for another 2-3 rounds of resubmission/reholder. Somebody has to pay for all of this rework. I guess that explains the price increase?
  10. It looks like I got burned by the 1 week TAT. None of the 11 books that I received back were fixed and they even managed to introduce new errors in the QC process For some reason the custom Todd McFarland labels that I had on these books were swapped out for Spider-Man and Spawn labels Now I have to send them back again for reholder AND label service.
  11. I am in the same position. It seems that every order needs 1 or more books sent back in for ME. I had to recently send back in 11 books from 2 different orders but at least the TAT was only 1 week before they were sent back to me.
  12. I have been patiently waiting for this one all week and found it sitting on my porch after I got home from work Thank you neighbours for being honest.
  13. He was definitely signing books at the start of the Pandemic. My copy of NM 98:
  14. It is sad but this is now a regular part of my process when getting books back from CGC. The strange part is performing the visual inspection from top to bottom and front to back while thinking "I thought someone at CGC was supposed to do this".
  15. I have quite a few Funkos but I never saw them as collectables to make money on. They are cool decorations from series that I enjoy. I haven't ever paid secondary market prices for a Funko and only purchased stuff off the shelf because the asking prices above the original $20 seems crazy.
  16. I recently received back 2 orders from CGC and 11 of the 14 books need to be returned because the holder is moving around on the inside of the slab. I have had this happen on my last 5 orders and this seems to be a regular problem. Frustrating that this seems to be a part of the regular process now.
  17. I love the Beast Amazing Adventures books. I have raw sets in my "to be graded" pile.
  18. I don't have anything guaranteed but I have a few feelers out there to snag a copy or 2. Fingers crossed. I am also LudaToke on ebay. As of now, I only have 2 copies of the DC vs. Vampires cover.
  19. I had someone message me on ebay last night asking me if I will have this cover when it releases because I was selling other Filya covers. I suspect it will be in high demand when it releases.
  20. I got my books back yesterday. Grades were as expected so no surprises. I got T-Bagged on 8 of 9 books which sucks and on top of that 6 of the 9 books need to be sent back for reholder as the inner holders are moving around in the slab. A bit disappointing to say the least.
  21. It isn't the most popular Gill Kane cover, but it is certainly my favorite as is also Beast:
  22. I don't know what the first comic I purchased was. To be truthful, I didn't read many of those first few comics either. I was 8 years old and I followed the lead of my older brother who was a collector (Baseball and Hockey cards, comics and coins). A lot of his purchases went right to bag and board. As a result, a lot of them stayed in a very nice condition and I eventually had them graded and signed.
