It's really all up to you if it's worth getting graded or not. "Collectors" grade any and every card you can think of for their collections (yes that means energy cards). Most people nowadays grade for making money... Do research for each card. Check out how much it's selling for not graded (raw card) and check out what it's selling for graded. At the end of the day, it's all up to you.

I was told by CGC you estimate the value of a card in its "raw" state and don't guess the grade of the card to estimate a value.

If you mark your shipping package correctly they should open it asap when it's received for Walkthrough and Express. I'm not sure about Standard since they just started asking customers to write it on the packages.

If I was CGC I'd remove the status of the submissions and only tell people that CGC received the packages and when CGC ships your submissions back.

That was when TAT for Express was at 24 days. Are you counting all days or business days Mon - Fri? The estimated times are just that, estimated and not exact...

These are the old TAT (in the photo) before the change today. The express TAT has to be a typo... 7 days same as walkthrough? Current Turnaround Time (As of May 25th 2021): BULK : 228 ECONOMY: 120 STANDARD: 65 EXPRESS: 7 WALKTHR: 7

I think they are talking about "standard". All Bulk, economy, and standard submissions goes into one pile. Express and walkthrough submissions goes a different route

Start calling people. I'd called CGC asking for video footage of the package being opened and I would report fraud to both CGC and USPS or whoever you Shipped with.

Ask the question in the sub forum "Ask CGC" at the top of the page. You'll get an answer....

I was told by CGC you base the value of a card in its raw state. Not to guess the grade it might get to get a declared value.

Imo that is not a factory defect. It looks like to me someone tried to chop it in half with a really dull butcher knife. Hopefully you or your buddy didn't pay much for it.
