  1. This issue contains one of my favorite monster tales .. TITAN, the Amphibian from Atlantis. A rare Kirby tale with Heath inks and one of Larry Leiber's better stories!:
  2. A Special Book .....Only a dealer like Jerry could turn up stuff like this. All of his recent auctions have been attributed to a single long term collector....I've wondered if maybe Jerry, himself, was that collector. Now I have to decide whether to de-slab it....it sure would look sharp in a mylar and to let it breathe....like the fine Wines that Weist also collected. GOD BLESS.... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u P.S. "The Million Year Picnic" .....what a concept. I still get a total charge out of his ads in the earlier OSPG's where he's holding an armful of multiple copies of Batman 1, Superman 1, Cap 1, and so on and so on. Interesting theory about his books Jim. I was watching some of his auctions end tonight. There were some really nice books, wish I could have picked up a couple. I get as excited over new Jerry Weist auctions as much as anything the big houses put on.....always stuff you just NEVER see. I hope he and Billy Gaines have themselves barricaded in God's Wine cellar right about now. GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u Hey Jimbo, I'm glad you finally got a nice copy of BLACK RIDER RIDES AGAIN! That sure us a nice copy (not as nice as mine but a nice copy! Bill
  3. A dash of camp and a pinch of GGA are the secret ingredients in this wonderful Suicide Squad piece by Mario Chavez.
  4. Hey, that's a really cool piece. I like it. , I wonder what Mr Rausch could do with Ze Suicide Squad?
  5. There are quite a few "Tony Stark" look-alikes in the pre-hero canon -- this character popped up whenever Heck had do to a rich guy, big-shot corporate, or "man about town" type of character!
  6. Speaking of Maneely, here is my favorite work by that master craftsman!
  7. Thanks, Anthony does the job right! Here is another repro of this cover I had done. , maybe if Pine Comics had bublished B&B...
  8. I love that cover! Here is the original art: NAHH, just kidding. It a class-A reproduction by our Board's own Anthony Castrillo!
  9. Yet another "lost" B&B Suicide Squad cover from Dave Hoover!
  10. For you old Godzilla fans out there...here is GOROSAURUS from the epic Toho film: King Kong Escapes! The original: And then after a dip in Photoshop: Wonderful art by Mr Kaiju himself: Matt Frank

  13. I loved that story line...I really like the angle that used in the recreation. It gives the piece a nice sense of depth!
  14. Here is the latest addition to my original Suicide Squad gallery. One of my favorite monster films is RODAN...so here the Squad has ventured far underground where they find a hatching Rodan chick feeding on giant dragonfly larve. This piece was done by Matt Frank, who will be the cover artist on the new IDW Godzilla series.
  15. CFTBL came first. This HOM is from 1960, the Creature film came out in 1954. Its funny, this is one of the few monster covers that appeared in DC Sci-fi books... Meanwhile, over at Atlas, they were cranking out at least 4 monster covers every month!
  16. Now Im in the right thread! I just upgraded this book. I do love a canary yellow cover!
  17. Oh, I always post my thoughts on the Karate Kid fights in my commission collection. I sometimes post the artists' thoughts on the fights as well. I like to make up a little back-story for all my all original Suicide Squad commissions and then have the artist work from that. http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryRoom.asp?GSub=105493 It makes me feel like Stan Lee or Julius Schwartz when designing a cover! Bill
  18. OMG, could this be a new Invisible Girl prototype?
  19. My favorite FF epic. I first read this masterpiece in the 1974 Superhero Holiday Grab-Bag Treasury. The story still holds up today!
  20. Here is a book that I bought restored from Solbodian himself. I am going to look into getting it signed by Stan!
