  4. I see Filmfax on the newsstand from time to time, but I have not picked up a copy in years.. I will pick up Video Watchdog from time to time, usually during my vacation time in the summer.
  5. I don't remember ever seeing that magazine on the newsstands when I was kid. My favorite was Castle of Frankenstein. These are great monster mags! Published by none other than Hollywood prop historian/gorrilla actor Bob Burns. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob at a con in the 90s and not only did he sign my copies of FANTASTIC MONSTERS, but we spent a 1/2 hour talking about King Kong! What a wonderful afternoon that was... Bill
  6. Here is a nice cover from my favorite Anti-Commie title. Take that you no good Pinkos!

  10. Here is a link to some nice Kirby/Ditko PRIZE BLACK MAGIC books: #1 and #28 (Kirby zombie cover with very early Ditko horror) Oh, and also some Toth All-American Western and Danger Trail. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=153052&Number=3006820#Post3006820 thanks, Bill
  11. Some nice SA Challs...love that monster cover!
  12. Nice collection of HG early Ditko Charltons. Nice!
  13. Wow, I never knew Moreira did Tarzan. I cant get enough of his 50's DC science-fiction art...I would love to see more of his 40s stuff! Bill I like Moreira's work on Tarzan. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of his strips. I purchased the Sunday Funnies for the Superman and Hogarth Tarzan strips. They are also difficult to scan especially on my new more compact scanner. Perhaps if I get a new digital camera, I can photograph all of the Sunday pages. The Flash Gordon strips are worth seeing. Speaking of science fiction, I have a lot more MacRaboy Flash Gordon strips which haven't been scanned. He was my favorite as a child (and Kirby). bb Nice art by Moreira. I guess his ERB work is overshadowed by the works of Foster & Hogarth, he mostly appears in the footnotes of EBR fandom - under his pen name: Rubimor. Here is one of my favorite "Rubimor" covers from the late 50s!

  15. Here are a bunch of pre-heros that I recently got around to scanning.
  16. Hey, I like those Kirby westerns! Nice. I dont think I've ever seen any of those before! Bill
  17. Welcome to the Boards and it's good to find another WW fan. I once had less than 10 books needed to complete a full WW run and finally gave up. Some of these books must be non-existant in a decent grade ?!? The CGC census backs this up, example: my WW 111 is the only one in the census. It's no wonder it's on your want list. Raw scan, she's now a CGC Blue 8.5 ..... I myself need only ONE more issue to complete my HG WW collection -- the elusive #101. I almost nailed the Nova Scotia copy a few years ago, but let it slip through my fingers....ah well. the search goes on...
  18. Well, I guess the CCA would never have approved Rocky riding Circe!
  19. I didnt know trade paperbacks were CGC-able...Maybe I can submit my KINGDOM COME Absolute Edition...
  20. Then I picked up this little number.... Another great mythology-themed dark blue background cover. Are there any more of them out there? They sure do look nice together!
  21. Nice book! One of the finest MGA covers! You dont see enough Inca themed covers..Egypian mummies and the like always seem to take the front seat.
  22. I believe Tomorrow's Treasures had/has a bunch of decent looking early HOMs on ebay. Those are some great issues. Ya gotta love Wanda on the cover of HOM #1. Bill
